It's not all that obviously visible from Epcot. I, personally have never noticed it in all these years. There was a picture posted on this board a short while ago which looks like it is sitting just behind Canada. That, I'm sure was done with a telescopic lens because it is no where near that visible to the naked eye.

imho, The most visible thing is still the tower of terror from DHS from around Morocco.

The Swan photos seem to be using one of these lenses with a focal point that makes the swan look bigger.

Final day here, and we have 6 CS meals remaining, and 24 Snacks!

I never did get my Dole Whip float. The two times we were in the area with room in our bellies, it was like 40 degrees and my teeth were chattering.
The other half dozen times, we had either just finished eating, or were on our way out to a TS meal.
Seemed silly (at the time - not so much now) to have a Dole Whip before Yachtsman or Narcoossee's.
buy 50 dolewhips in a bottle, eat it as you cry for leaving Disney World.

Wait, they were censored??? I just thought you guys were deliriously happy with permanent smiles on your faces!!!!
I have seen myself a few times in a mirror, and I'm pretty sure I'm not yellow or rounded ;)

That explains it - I've never seen your face in a mirror!!!

Don't even know how to respond to that post Sir other than we all have very different visual strengths and weaknesses.

As Disney removes more and more trees in the World Showcase it is becoming more and more visible.
I might concede the last two pictures, but the first one is nothing if not manipulated to make the Swan look closer and larger. (did the same thing to the Eiffel Tower) There is no spot anywhere in Epcot that anyone is going to see what is in that picture without high power binoculars. The last two are much more subtle and, although shouldn't be seen, the reality is that it has never been severe enough to even catch my attention. What other people may or may not see, is not the point. It is that it isn't a terrible thing and doesn't harm the experience even a little.

Thank you, that was my point exactly!

I am so stressed today. I'm thinking of quitting one of my jobs. As a single mom, I have held two jobs for the last seven years so that I could do things like taking my kids to WDW. One of my jobs (the prn job), is so poorly managed that it is so much stress and extra work to maintain than my full time job. Unfortunately, without it I can just say goodbye to WDW. (I don't receive child support for over 10 years).

Oof. So sorry to hear that. Two jobs and being a single mom sounds like an awful lot of stress!

I know you're in the healthcare field, but remind me what you do exactly again?

My objection to your post is that Swan and Dolphin are indeed visible from Epcot whether you have noticed it or not. I've noticed it since they were built, it is difficult for me to miss the dolphin statue as it is out of place and I can't miss that modern triangle poking itself into the not so modern build of the World Showcase.

So toss out the first picture which is just a close up of exactly what is there no matter what lens is used, it is still there to be photographed, it isn't like they photoshopped the hotels. If you compare all three you come up with the same configuration in the sky line, they pop out above the trees in all three photo's by 3 different photographers. The 2nd two photo's the Swan and Dolphin are not even the focal points of the photo's across the lake and still visible. It does point out what some guests see with their naked eye and what others don't notice at all and what one guest can see with the naked eye and what some guests cannot or will not. I tend to be an observant person others not so much.

I don't think I have ever noticed that view before.

I genuinely believe that. But if you look across the lake at just about any point they are right there. Problem is once you notice them, they are always right there just like the tangled potty tower from liberty and circus from the speedway. Some notice and some do not, but once you see them they never go away.

True. I know they are there because I've seen them many times. It's that first photo that got me thinking that I've never seen it quite like that. Gorgeous pic, though.

I know the hideous buildings are there, I just ignore them.

I might have an interview tomorrow. I just can't get excited for it. I don't even know why I applied for it. One of the requirements is 100 plus phone calls a day. I can't, I just can't do that. Plus the interview would be at 730 and I just can't get myself up that early for something I know I'm going to dread.

I am a respiratory therapist.
That's what I thought. As an asthmatic, I've had to work with respiratory therapists before. I know you're working hard, feeling stressed, but some of my best experiences at the ER have been with respiratory therapists. After having to deal with arrogant ER doctors who usually have no idea what they're doing with asthma (usually, some have been great, but some...urgh), sometimes the best feeling is when someone, who is not arrogant and actually does know what they're talking about with asthma, comes in and tries to cheer up the patient. And the techs who work at my allergist office have also been great. I know you have difficult patients, probably difficult doctors and coworkers as well, not to mention frustrations at home, but we do really appreciate what you do.

I also have a lot of respect for healthcare workers. Not an easy job you all have. Really appreciate it.

In general these type of sentences make my blood boil.
