O.k. peeps!! I've got some piccies for you from my vacation last week!! None of them came out all that well, but I picked the least hideous ones to share. :D

In order below (they'll have to be clicked on to see them larger and clearer) are, starting with a few from the Flower & Garden Festival:

1. Topiary of Mickey and Minnie (heading toward World Showcase, from Future World)
2. Floating flowers in the water behind Spaceship Earth and the overhead monorail
3. Topiary of Lady and the Tramp (Italy Pavilion)
4 Hanging flower baskets, World Showcase

So bad I never had the opportunity to see them in full bloom.

Lastly--

I had planned to head over to the American Pavilion to see the Herman's Hermits outdoor concert; but along the way, I was completely mesmerized by the outstanding Chinese acrobats at the China Pavilion. I couldn't really do any decent action shots with my dopey camera, but here are a few general ones. I'm kinda bummed that they don't clearly show the intricate details in the costumes of the men and women performers.

So happy you were able to catch F&G, one of my favorites. Your pictures turned out just fine, thanks for sharing.

by the way.. be careful. I read recently that Kourieg and a lot of Kourieg based coffee machines.. have the tendency of being brewing points of bacteria in their faucets.

We got our first Keurig in 2011, we have 4 between us now, all still going and we are all still well. So far. ;)

As the internet stories go I hear the worst bacteria finds in stuff similar are the soda fountain tidbits along with the dispensing point of jugs like sports teams use for Gatorade.

So pretty. How is Austin fairing through all these storms?

I read a nice story yesterday about how the Austinites came out to foster critters from shelters that became flooded and that they found foster humans for all the critters displaced from their shelters. So sad when their shelter gets flooded, like their life isn't hard enough as it is.

Thanks, Gabe! :)
It is indeed pretty. Talked to several folks last night, originally from other parts of the country, that wished they had moved down here sooner. Good and bad at the same time. The economy is booming, but, it's just gettin' so darn crowded. From what we're used to, anyway.

Thankfully, things have been a little quieter over the last few days. We still need more rain, of course, but, we also need the respite.
You can see the water in the foreground of my first pic of the cruise is a little brown. All the flooding has things quite churned up.
So much more tragic down along the Blanco River and in the Houston area. So sad.

Yep, youngest DD was all over that shelter story. But, after a bit of discussion in regards to the Belle/Jet experience, we, unfortunately, had to decide against.

When does the rope drop?
At least two hours from our time zone. Makes it hard for me...grandpa adapts better than I do. Of course, dr. gave me sleep pills, as dad never slept more than three hours...daughter...no more than 5 hours...I fluctuate between the two. In the past ...hubby slept through everything....so I would get up and sweep with vacuum, dust, run dish washer and clean refrigerator , or bathrooms. Now , I'm still awake from 1 to 3 AM. I took my baby Wiggles, our last doggie at that time , for a bathroom break. Habit's are so hard to break. But while I'm laying in bed (too old to get up and do housework) As all doggies have passed. I think of all my loved ones....Mom, Dad, brother, and doggies. I think they are all enjoying each other . In the after life. And I say a prayer for the world, or my "new" friends on the internet. All this ....plus the sound of the weather channel puts me back to sleep.:inlove:

I found out how to make your own icee , or slushie, from the food channel. Take a 12 ounce coke, pepsi, root beer, Canada dry, and shake the dickens out of it....cap on of course...Immediately put in freezer, for 2 and 1 half hours. take out and open into kitchen sink...as you will lose some ...put in straw, and start sipping...then you have an icee or slurpie... I've tried this multiple times, and it alway's works.:hungry:

1. Since @ajrwdwgirl and @Wrangler-Rick took pix of the St. George statue, at the Germany Pavilion on their trips, I took one too! It's not nearly as good as the pix they took, but I thought I'd join in the "tradition" of taking a piccie of St. George!
2. This was an animal carving at the base of the Tree of Life in AK
3. Rafiki !!! (Inside Conservation Station in AK; my flash didn't work, so not great :() But I really like Rafiki, so I put him here.

I love all your pictures. Daughter makes us do things so quickly, I miss all the special moments. Some day dad and I are going to do several days our way. We have the grandkids and kids to consider, so we have put it off.

Speaking of Samantha Brown (per your comments to ItingriBella), I really miss her shows. I thought she was the perfect host for the travel shows she did, and not just for the Disney shows, but other locations as well. The last time I saw her on tv, she was on some shopping channel promoting a luggage line. What a letdown; I hope she returns to hosting travel shows.

I really liked her shows too. I think when she got married she had at least one kids, so that puts a damper on her traveling. Good for her, but bad for the fans of her shows!

I like all the pictures you've posted. From what you posted it seems as if you took into account the limits of the film camera and really took your time to get decent shots. Well done!

Twins, actually. I'm happy for her, but, it ruined all my plans. The thing is that we were going to meet accidentally someplace and after a short time, she was going to fall head over heals in love with me. I knew that she was already married, but, I didn't see that as a huge obstacle. Then she had twins and the thought of raising kids again at my age, just took the joy out of it completely. She made her choice and had children when she could have had me. Oh, well... such is life, I guess.
