The lines all of the sudden get short during the parade, so that's nice. I've watched the parades a handful of times. Several just because it was in my way (that's how my brother and I ended up watching Festival of Fantasy. He complained. That dragon float is pretty cool, though.) Usually, I'd rather just take advantage of the short lines.

The parade that was good was Tapestry of Nations in Epcot when I was little
I really miss Tapestry of Nations..one of the best parades, and in Epcot. I wish they would bring something back like that again. :inlove:

@Goofyernmost , I just wanted to mention that I really liked the bus service at WDW. I think the drivers are wonderful, and the service is very good. Plus, I always enjoy looking out the windows and sight-seeing while they are driving around. :) Also, I enjoy all of the transportation modes down there--boats and monorails. You know what? I think I just like it when people take me places, so I can gawk out the windows! :p
I feel the same way. Hubby doesn't drive, so I don't have to help him watch for things.:D

One of the few times we saw them with an animal there it was a bat that had injured it's wing. Nothing as pretty as a tiger.

Precisely! I can't tell you how many times I've visited the Conservation building over the years, and never saw anything nearly as exciting as the tiger I saw a few days ago. I think that's why I was even more excited--after years of seeing either nothing going on in there, or seeing something that didn't interest me at all, this time I hit the jackpot!! :joyfull:

Several other people here on WDWMagic have given it good reviews. I think much of the criticism of the movie is way too cynical but there is some criticism I agree with. I went into the film with really low expectations though. Plus, I liked the message of the film so much that I was able to overlook a lot of things in the film that could have been better. I think it will take multiple viewings for me to make a complete judgement.

We have a movie critic here on our local tv station, and he didn't like it either. While he enjoyed the enthusiasm at the beginning, he said he just couldn't follow the movie; it was somewhat disjointed and if it wasn't for George Clooney (who only appeared for part of the film), he said it would have been a complete flop.

I haven't seen it; I will probably wait for it to come out on DVD and go on sale.

Hope you're all havin' a nice Memorial Day. :)

Getting pounded by t-storms, yet again. Reported tornado on the ground to the northwest of us tracking northeast and away, so no immediate danger for us, but, there's a bunch more comin' up from the southwest. Hope that tornado is out in the middle of nowhere.

On the brighter side, the lake level is up from the 633.5 from the other day, to a little over 649, because of all the rain. :)

On my solo trip I used FP+ a lot to get my favorite attractions done. I stayed with my typical touring style that I use with hubby too, which is getting up early, napping in the afternoon, and staying until close. I didn't think I would like FP+ but it saves a lot of time (no more crisscrossing the park) and I'm a planner so I don't mind planning in advance. But everyone has different styles of touring.

I'm glad it worked well for you (and others). I tried it once (last year's visit) and didn't like it. I walked up to a kiosk and the CM set up an acct. for me, and the machine "selected" 3 things that day. Problem was, I didn't like any of the three, so he tried again. and I sort of liked one, but that was all. I just thought it was a big waste of time (for me . . .). They wouldn't even let you change your selection until the third one was used. But I never wanted either option 2 or 3; I only wanted the first one. I dunno . . . just didn't make sense to me, so I gave up on it.

I hope the tornado fizzles out, too. Texas has been in the national news a lot over the past week (I had also watched the news when I was down in WDW). You guys are dealing with a lot of stuff down there from rough weather to motorcycle gangs. Good grief. :( I hope the rest of the summer mellows out for all of you.

Well, that was fun.
Rotation all around, straight line winds, lots of thunder and lightning, and tons of rain. Still raining, with even more on the way.
Now, reports of flooding, washed out roads, signage and trees down, roofs damaged.
We lost a sizeable limb on one of our trees in the front yard, but, I don't immediately see any other damage.
The power went out briefly. Others not so lucky, they've had now power for a while. It's so dark, it's pretty much looked like dusk for hours now.
Fun, fun, fun.

Lovely. Getting rocked up here as well. As usual.

Texas needed rain but not all at once!
