Hope you're all havin' a nice Memorial Day. :)

Getting pounded by t-storms, yet again. Reported tornado on the ground to the northwest of us tracking northeast and away, so no immediate danger for us, but, there's a bunch more comin' up from the southwest. Hope that tornado is out in the middle of nowhere.

On the brighter side, the lake level is up from the 633.5 from the other day, to a little over 649, because of all the rain. :)

Memorial Day is one of the worst days of the year to get stuck with bad weather

EDIT: You can always tell when I've been typing on my iPod. Make typing mistakes.

I recently learned that Tara Strong was going to be the second voice of Marie for the now cancelled Aristocats sequel. Which sounded decent since the characters we're going to travel to places like London and other countries in the film. At least The Aristocats might make a perfect show for Disney Jr and might possibly star Marie. Since theirs tons of merchandise dedicated to her.

go figure, tornados in Mexico are VERY VERY RARE..
and stronger ones even rarer (most of them are F0)

except for yesterday night...

where a reported F4, touched down for just 6 seconds (according to the witnesses) and killed 13 people by leaving a small trail of destruction before roping out.

Yep, and there's still the memories of the horrible flooding in the downtown Austin area from Memorial Day '81. 13 people lost their lives, and there was an estimated $35+ million in damage.

No worries about the typing.

I'm glad it worked well for you (and others). I tried it once (last year's visit) and didn't like it. I walked up to a kiosk and the CM set up an acct. for me, and the machine "selected" 3 things that day. Problem was, I didn't like any of the three, so he tried again. and I sort of liked one, but that was all. I just thought it was a big waste of time (for me . . .). They wouldn't even let you change your selection until the third one was used. But I never wanted either option 2 or 3; I only wanted the first one. I dunno . . . just didn't make sense to me, so I gave up on it.
you can actually change your selections using the App (if its working of course..)

I managed to change a few times when I was there.
Including when it gave me Space Mountain, I changed it to Haunted Mansion. and worked fine!

Well, that was fun.
Rotation all around, straight line winds, lots of thunder and lightning, and tons of rain. Still raining, with even more on the way.
Now, reports of flooding, washed out roads, signage and trees down, roofs damaged.
We lost a sizeable limb on one of our trees in the front yard, but, I don't immediately see any other damage.
The power went out briefly. Others not so lucky, they've had now power for a while. It's so dark, it's pretty much looked like dusk for hours now.
Fun, fun, fun.
yikes.. stay safe!

I wonder how valuable portable generators are during these circumstances.

Sympathy "like".
Prayers to all affected.

That city is southeast of us down on the Texas/Mexico border.

I still listen to that song.. really inspiring!
Maybe for it's 40th Anniversary they might make a parade similar to this. But with sections dedicated to various countries in World Showcase. And might feature characters from Disney films who represent that country. Such as Mary Poppins for the London section, Pinocchio for the Italy section, Belle and Beast from Beauty And The Beast and Marie,Toulouse, and Berlioz for the France section. And The Three Caballeros for the Mexico section. While Aladdin and Jasmine for Morocco.

We do laundry if we are there longer too. Carry more clothes taking up suitcase space versus a few hours of laundry...hmmm. We always plan to do laundry at the one next to the pool and add it into evening swim time.

Yea, I'm sure if we ever go longer than a week, we'll end up doin' laundry there again, too.
The first time we went as a family in '01 we had 4-day Hoppers, the second time in '04 we had 5-day Hoppers, the third time in '07, and every trip since, 6-day Hoppers. :)

I hope the tornado fizzles out, too. Texas has been in the national news a lot over the past week (I had also watched the news when I was down in WDW). You guys are dealing with a lot of stuff down there from rough weather to motorcycle gangs. Good grief. :( I hope the rest of the summer mellows out for all of you.

Thanks.

Yea, I don't even wanna' think about the biker fiasco/bloodbath up the road. Just insane.
Waco, again.

Tara Strong is an awesome voice actress and surprisingly is known best for the male roles she does. (Timmy Turner and Ben 10 to name a few.) She is currently the voice of Raven on Teen Titans Go.
