There are still 2 that I know of here in the Austin area. One is in west-central Austin in an older, affluent neighborhood. The other is in the city just southwest of Austin that the firm is located in.
Very affluent…prominent doctors, lawyers, architects, etc.
My cardiologist, Ravens kicker Justin Tucker’s dad Paul, lives there (name dropper…!!!!! ).
We’ve done many multi-million-dollar homes and commercial projects there.
Does not surprise me at all that there are still a coupla’ full-service stations in those areas…!!!

Your observations are spot on. I never made the connection before, but the full service ones are all located in a nearby very wealthy town. (Self-serve only in my working class area! )

Oh yes. It's excessively ugly. I took a pill to determine if it was just me because apparently my mom doesn't think it's that bad. I'm like, we have all of this beautiful artwork in this house, and then we have THAT.

Perhaps it would look better hanging in the garage?

Nope, not off on Monday. All of our offices are closed around the world on March 8, our next holiday. Then I'm off again on April 19 because we get a day off in the month of our birthday (though that is not my birthday; we're taking a long weekend in Williamsburg and my birthday just happens to be in April). Then Memorial Day, then Juneteenth, and then July 4. And my team will also most likely get July 5 off. So this is the only month where I won't get a day off until August. Honestly, I'm getting slightly spoiled.

We do not. That's also one of the few we don't have off. For some reason we also don't have the day after Thanksgiving off, but we have unlimited PTO so most of us will probably use it for the day after Thanksgiving. And then we get both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off.

Also affluent areas in CA - Bel Air , Brentwood, Santa Monica have a few full service gas stations . Currently regular gas 87 is $5.20 / gallon.

Samsung still hasn't fixed the issue with my financing.

I just emailed and told them I'm looking at purchasing a new phone from them but will reconsider if someone doesn't respond. Hopefully this will light a fire under someone.

Oh, I have no intention of getting anything but a Samsung; it was just a threat to keep them moving. They're giving me the best value trade in for my phone plus about $200 worth of a student discount.

If all else fails, I can put it on one of my credit cards because several of my Chase credit cards give me 0% financing over a certain amount, but I really don't wanna have to do that.

In other news, I was thinking of getting a standing desk thingy for at home. One of those things that you put your monitors and keyboard on and it raises them up so you can stand while you work.

Until it occurred to me that at my height, I actually don't need one of those things. Getting a monitor stand and then raising the monitor's neck to its maximum height when I want to stand will accomplish the same thing. I just need to figure out something to put the keyboard/mouse on.

Also my reaction at this discovery...

Yeah, I do get up and walk around a good bit, but standing would probably be a good idea. Anyway, the monitor riser is coming on Wednesday. And it's costing $25 instead of $200. I just need to figure out the keyboard situation. Probably a monitor riser will do for that as well. Or a box.

The roar of the engines is something else at Daytona. I miss visiting MK when there was the Richard Petty Speedway in the parking lot where guests can ride with drivers around the oval track. It closed shortly after the fatal accident. I could hear the roar of the cars very clearly when parking at MK.
