Yep, Buc-ee’s was founded here in Texas in ‘82, but, they didn’t open their first travel center until ‘03.
The architectural firm I work for is still in process of designing the owner of Buc-ee’s extensive Texas ranch, Arch “Beaver” Aplin III…!!! :)
And yes, Buc-ee’s is awesome, and they consistently win awards for, among other things, the cleanest restrooms in the industry…!!! :D
They also have really good bbq, too…!!!!! :hungry:

Dear lord hopefully NOT!!!!!!!!!!! It's almost like they tried to pick a place to screw up traffic even worse than one would think possible.

Not if but when Buc-ee's opens in NJ. At exit 8 NJ Turnpike there is a billboard warning the closest location is 580 miles away ( SC ). Food options and bathrooms would be cleaner than NJ Turnpike rest area options ( Nathan's , Cinnabon , Roy Rogers , Sbarro , BK etc ). That's a very nice teaser billboard. Better start hiring staff to pump gas since a location has over 110 gas pumps and 50K square feet building.

I certainly hope not as that area is a giant cluster of traffic on the best of days. That area developed too quickly without the additional needed infrastructure. Buc-ee's stinks for even thinking of doing this imho
