I started in elementary school needing glasses. I'm farsighted, which apparently both of my grandmothers were/are too. Given my mother has terrible nearsightedness, I'm very fortunate that I just have needed readers for the majority of my life. Unfortunately, I can't get away with drugstore ones even though I need a very low power. My eyes require two different powers, so no drugstore readers for me. My eye doctor said using those will actually damage my eyes. But on the bright side, my distance and night vision are excellent. Just relating to older folks on "why can't they make the font bigger?!"Even after all these years (going back and forth from drafting table to 2 computer monitors), fortunately, the only eye issues I’ve had have been due to “short arm disease”…!!!!!
It started in my early 40’s (about 20 years ago), and I started out with drug store cheaters at 1.00.
I’m now up to 2.5, but, looks like I’ll be needing to go to 2.75-3.00 soon.
