Lots of wind and of course rain. Not a lot structural damage in the area, a few trees, lots of branches other than that not much, but I lost power at 5pm last night and just got it back again a half hour ago. I also got some driven rain that came in under my walls. My apartment is on the ground level. I'm going to have a heart to heart with the property management on Monday. I had nothing to sop it up with except paper towels. Now that I have electricity again the ceiling fans are now working to dry the carpets. The paper towels kept it in a manageable amount but I don't want to have to deal with that again.Heard some of the hurricane follows (somewhat) a loose track in proximity of Charlotte. Not sure how wide the storm will be, but make sure you have food, etc. and gas in your car. Hoping by the time it hits N.C. a lot of the storm will have died down considerably.
