Well, it's good that an alternate beach day was available for your family. Incidentally, one thing I like when I go down (to the WDW area) is watching the big, afternoon rain storms, while sitting outside on my hotel balcony (there's an overhang, so I still stay relatively dry). Those storms always seem to be a lot more powerful down South (FL and TX, for example). Weather can be fun!
Yea, we have to be out of here by tomorrow mornin’ at 10a, so it was either yesterday or today for a beach day.
It’s still rainin’ here, although not as hard as earlier.
And, yep, Texas and Florida have similar weather, in that regard, and I like a good thunderstorm like that, as well. The only thing I don’t care for too much is drivin’ in it. Late afternoon on Monday, a crazy storm blew in outta’ what seemed like nowhere. I was gonna’ wait for it to calm down, but, I was too anxious to get outta’ the office, ‘cause we were leavin’ for this trip the next mornin’. And, of course, it rained cats and dogs almost the total entirety of my commute home, and pretty much came to a dead stop right about the minute I hit our driveway…!!!!!
As I’ve posted before, Austin gets hotter than Orlando, but, generally, not as humid. Houston is on par with Orlando humidity-wise, but, also gets hotter.
Below is the temp back in Austin, the much cooler temp here because of the tropical depression, and the current-ish location of the tropical depression…
