She was supposed to be working the Haunted Mansion attraction. That much I know, because they posted pictures of her in her costume. Her first program, she worked merchandise and was primarily at Mouse Gear in Epcot. Then her 2nd program, from which she was sent home because of covid was originally supposed to be Jungle Cruise ride operation. She was really excited about it, but said the amount of text to be a skipper was kind of daunting. I don't know what happened, but do you remember when that Jungle Cruise boat sank? I asked her mom if she was ok when that happened and she told me the girl had been transferred to Haunted Mansion the week before. Then they sent everyone home, and she was just asked to come back again a few weeks ago, and now she's already leaving again. But the way it was worded, I don't think SHE was sent home...I think it was her choice to leave. OR she was sent home, but not for Covid-related reasons. She said she was not upset to leave the Disney company because they had "screwed her over", and she mentioned several kids being in limbo, and a bunch of cases of covid in her complex, but I know she wasn't in limbo with her job....she had her assignment and her costume and everything, and she said some kids were sent home, but didn't say that she was one of them. So I'm just not sure if it's entirely accurate. It's possible that some people got fired and she didn't want anyone to know so she said she left, or it's possible that she wanted to go home to be with her mom and that they didn't give her the option of having time off so she quit the program, or it's possible that it's exactly as she represented it. I have no idea, but if your niece hasn't heard of anyone being sent home for Covid reasons, I think it's not likely that that's the reason behind it. I could be wrong, though. But I did wonder, if they start sending kids home again, does that mean they are gearing up to go back to more restricted access in the parks because the numbers were rising? Are they rolling back the openings?

I do remember the Jungle Cruise boat sinking, that was about a week before we went there. I was nervous that the attraction would go down for a refurb after the sinking, it didn't but I love the ride so I didn't want it to be down for some reason. From what our niece has said it sounds like more CP kids are coming in and hasn't heard any whiffs about sending anyone home except for maybe performance reasons. From the sounds of the reports from the earnings call yesterday with Chapek it seems like the plan is full steam ahead to full openings and being normal by the end of the year (maybe) and not a reversal to restrictions.
