Ah yes. I bawled during that part. It hit close to home. Paciencia y Fe has been stuck in my head.@StarWarsGirl I was rather impressed with the Senator and the general. but you should have warned me about needing tissues
Did you notice that when Nina's father is on hold with Stanford, the hold music is "You'll Be Back"?@StarWarsGirl I was rather impressed with the Senator and the general. but you should have warned me about needing tissues

One of the best Easter Eggs EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Did you notice that when Nina's father is on hold with Stanford, the hold music is "You'll Be Back"?
I liked Soul. It's not Toy Story or Brave but it was a solid movie. IMHO not every movie has to be a 100% on RT to be good
That is where NC hits you in the butt. Registration for a year is $51 but every year they appraise your vehicle as personal property tax, this year is was $210. So add up the inspection which is $40 and add them all up and it costs $301 to register the car. The property tax is foolish especially since I don't own the thing I just lease it. However, we do have a lot of roads around here and that are all in fairly good condition plus they spend a few billion a year on flowers alone! Pretty is costly. Can't wait till next year because the tax will probably drop about $5.@Lilofan, I wanted to correct a price I mentioned in my email this morning, about RMV prices. Coincidentally on the same day, I was paying for the car registration renewal fee (on top of an inspection fee).
Hence, the vehicle inspection was $35, not 60. Yet, I also had to pay for the registration renewal (a separate item) and that was $60.00.
I think you should stick to watching movies on AMC or TCM -- a safe bet that those will be oldies but goodies. No spaghetti being thrown against the wall for let's see . . . um, Casablanca?Along with “Luca”, I didn’t care for “Soul” either.
Seemed like yet another drug-induced, throw it against the wall and see if it sticks, fantastical, nonsensical overreach.
At any moment, while watching either, I was expecting that heffalumps and woozles would show up...!!!!!
Wow that is a hefty price to register a car. In FL, roads are built/improved and one way to pay for it is make it a toll road and every few years the price goes up. The most direct way to get to WDW after getting off the plane at MCO is taking the 417 Greenway with its well paved toll road and palm trees dotting the landscape. It just takes several tolls which amounts to around $6-7 one way in tolls. That is where NC hits you in the butt. I don't know but if you had to take a toll road every day to work wouldn't you pay more then $200 per year for that? In a tourist state like Florida toll roads mean that people from Minnesota or New Jersey or Pennsylvania, etc. help pay for your highways as well. Here in the Raleigh area they have experimented with a couple of toll road, both going to the same place. A town called Apex. Both those roads, especially the newest is a beautiful highway with hardly any cars on it. And to drive 20 miles on it cost $4.50 one way. So if you commuted that's almost $10 per day. That only takes 20 days to cover my personal property charge. There was talk a little while ago about making the section of I-95 that runs over 300 miles through NC a toll road. They got a lot of pushback on that one considering that 1) the traffic that would divert to Route 1 or 301 would clog up small towns not to mention 2) the fact that most of I-95 building was financed by the Federal Government so the entire country already had paid for that road.Wow that is a hefty price to register a car.
