When we lived in Brielle, and then Allenwood, we avoided going to Pt. Pleasant in the summer. Hated the tourist season. Dh said as a kid that he always wanted to live down the shore when he was a kid and when he moved there he said everyone else apparently wanted to do the same thing. :hilarious:
I left Walmart in northern Brick to head home in southern Brick before my wife had to leave her workplace ( in Asbury Park ).
So I texted her: "Hon, don't take such and such a road. It's bumper to bumper....take Brick Blvd instead.....but when she got to Brick Blvd it was a traffic nightmare so she tried the road I told her to avoid...and that road was still bumper to bumper. A no win situation ;)

I use Google maps app on my cell phone and find that very helpful when it comes to avoiding traffic.

Seems like the merchants at the Jersey Shore are going to have a successful summer!

Wow that is a hefty price to register a car. In FL, roads are built/improved and one way to pay for it is make it a toll road and every few years the price goes up. The most direct way to get to WDW after getting off the plane at MCO is taking the 417 Greenway with its well paved toll road and palm trees dotting the landscape. It just takes several tolls which amounts to around $6-7 one way in tolls.
Or you could go the easier way of Sand lake road to I4.

Hey Steve little bit of history -- in 1989 after hurricane hugo destroyed Mcclellanville Toms River came to our rescue with cleanup, supplies, and helping people rebuild. The people of Toms River were great and when Sandy hit Toms River we returned their kindness. For many years a group of guys would come down and my good friend Harvey (unfortunately passed away when his small plane crashed) would take them out fishing. Great bunch of guys

Knock on wood but we haven't received a direct hit from a hurricane since Bob in 1992.

A bee got into the house. I tried to kill it. It escaped and now I'm obsessed with finding the bee even though it's probably gone.
