Let's see, I missed a Hurricane when I was in high school, a Derecho when I was in college, the blizzard of 2016, all of the earthquakes listed in the article...I'm trying to think what else.Every time @StarWarsGirl leaves the state so should you
They didn't mention that there was a minor one in 2019. I was home for that one. I remember because I was in a movie theater seeing Aladdin. I felt the theater shake, heard someone outside yell a string of curses, and then I sat there for a good ten minutes wondering what the heck had happened. That one was so small that there was no damage.Every time @StarWarsGirl leaves the state so should you

Getting close! Tick tock, tick tock.
One of my dd’s birthdays is the 29th. She turns 14. Cannot believe it!
So soon? I thought she was due on July 4th! Did I get that mixed up?
Yeah hate our taxes. That is where NC hits you in the butt. Registration for a year is $51 but every year they appraise your vehicle as personal property tax, this year is was $210. So add up the inspection which is $40 and add them all up and it costs $301 to register the car. The property tax is foolish especially since I don't own the thing I just lease it. However, we do have a lot of roads around here and that are all in fairly good condition plus they spend a few billion a year on flowers alone! Pretty is costly. Can't wait till next year because the tax will probably drop about $5.
They are all headed here(Seaside Heights)... ..........and here......The traffic here at the Jersey Shore tonight is UNBELIEVABLE!!! What should have been a 10 minute drive from Wal-Mart back to KY house...it took me 35 minutes!
We had planned to drive tonight to a restaurant that is 1.5 miles from our house. But that might have taken 20 minutes. I am serious. It is just bumper to bumper as soon as I exit my neighborhood /so, I ordered pizza from "Azzuro's Pizza" It's a 5 minute walk from my home. Yup I walked. The traffic here at the Jersey Shore tonight is UNBELIEVABLE!!! What should have been a 10 minute drive from Wal-Mart back to KY house...it took me 35 minutes!
When we lived in Brielle, and then Allenwood, we avoided going to Pt. Pleasant in the summer. Hated the tourist season. Dh said as a kid that he always wanted to live down the shore when he was a kid and when he moved there he said everyone else apparently wanted to do the same thing. They are all headed here...View attachment 566352
