The boys are in huge trouble. One of them(he did it) broke a bottle of basalmic vinegar on my dining room floor and instead of cleaning it up they moved a few boxes so I wouldn't notice. Silly me moved some gardening items in there after Easter lunch/dinner. I would have noticed the smell except I did some cleaning with regular vinegar and flushed my drains. I spent the time I would have spent sewing cleaning up glass and then steaming the sticky mess up:mad::mad::mad:
I volunteer to take any Legos removed as punishment

I feel like I'm never going to get the vaccine. They stopped giving the Astra Zeneca one completely now and we're still way behind with the others.
Germany announced yesterday or maybe last week that they will not be letting people cross the border unless they have a negative test. And then yesterday, some Dutch people were turned away I guess because they figured they didn't need that if they were fully vaccinated, and Germany said nope, that's not good enough, you still need a negative test result. But they won't test you here for travel purposes. So no travel for us, even if we are vaccinated and things start opening up.

In other news, it snowed yesterday and it's supposed to snow more throughout the day. This is what I woke up to:

It's not much, but considering it's April, that's pretty unheard of here. It's never snowed in April since I've lived here, for sure. Normal temps for this time of year are around 13C (55F) and we're in the low 30s now. A week ago, it was in the 70s! It's bizarre.
Snow happens in Wisconsin for April, but it does not always happen each year in Southeastern Wisconsin. It has been a warm week so far with it being in the 60s and 70s.

I have 256 gigs also. It is so worth it. I have loads of videos and pictures on it.

Yep, I remember havin’ only 32 gigs on one of my phones at one point, and it was so frustrating. At first, I just started deleting apps the phone came with to gain more memory that I didn’t need. But, it finally came down to the point where I was deleting silly photos I pulled of the internet to post here, then goin’ back and findin’ duplicates of photos I took to delete...I really got tired of seein’ “memory full, can’t take photo”. Then I’d have to frantically go back and search for stuff to delete, so I could get my camera back ASAP...!!!!! 🤪:hilarious:
At 256 gigs, with almost 20,000 pics and vids on this phone, I’m only at...!!!!!;)

I am glad you finally got to hug your little Emmy! You all look so happy.

Thank you so very much, and we were all happy as heck...!!!!!!! :joyfull::inlove::happy:
We were actually not expecting it, but, oldest DD said it would be OK, based on research she had done about us having our second Moderna dose. We were still hesitant, but, she insisted it would be OK.
As I posted, it was all very emotional for us (even now as I’m posting this), but, Emmy was also so very excited about the hugs that didn’t happen for over a year. Not sure how much she understands about it all at this point, but, the whole masks and distancing thing for 1+ year doesn’t seem to have affected her in any adverse way. And, hopefully, for her and her soon-to-be-born lil’ sis, this is all a distant story from their childhood that they never experience again in their lifetimes...we can hope...!!!!!

My hunch is that the younger the kid, the less affected by all this. I mean, she didn't have much of a frame of reference for what life has to offer, being so little, during the year when the worst of this mess went down. Adults, on the other hand, were deeply affected and stressed out over the entire thing. So for Emy, it might have been something "different" but not completely unusual either. Also, I'll bet she pretty much forgets about the past year of restrictions, etc., fairly quickly.
