While many of QS restaurants are blah and redundant there are some superior choices within Disney World that rival some of the table service offerings.

Columbia House, eat upstairs - MK

Mara, AKLodge

Captain Hook's at the Polnesian has excellent full breakfasts and amazing lunch and dinners, a good break from parks or going between Epcot and MK

Flame Tree at AK is likely my favorite though QS Yak and Yeti is also a place I enjoy, lots of food for just one person. FT should reopen after a delay in late May.

Sunshine in Future World has so many healthy choices with well prepared food, we hit that one up multiple times during a trip. Desserts are wonderful for a pit stop in Future World and their potato salad is soooo good too.

The Contempo at the Contemporary is similar to Capt. Hooks, with full meals for dinner and great sandwiches for lunch. Also a great break from the parks.

I'm a big fan of Earl of Sandwich in DTD. Seating is my only deterrent.

Yorkshire at UK pavilion Epcot always spot on.

Though harder to get to Roaring Forks at Wilderness Lodge, yum.

Breakfast at the Hallow, MK waffles fresh, hot made to order, a bargain.

The Boardwalk Bakery is good for sandwiches as is Starring Rolls at the Studios, both very share-able.

My experience is you can eat some pretty incredible food at WDW if you avoid the typical burger, chicken places and seek out the ones that offer fresh choices.
I'm familiar with all those except the one at the Polynesian. I will have to give that one a go. My problem is that I like the thrill of the hunt when making reservations. I book a lot then edit later.

Hope the certification stuff got worked out. :inlove:
It did. Last Wednesday I went to work and I was so stressed. Two of our neonatal primaries were very sympathetic and went straight upstairs and got in contact with her. Because the thing is I was up to date but without the actual card showing I'm current, I'm not allowed to work. That certification doesn't affect me at my primary job but it does at my second job where I have to carry multiple certifications.
The neonatal primaries were worried because it could have easily been them in that situation.

People still talk about him. They're like Subway is going to help me loss weight and then they order a footlong with chips and a soda :hilarious:

Even some of the small 6 inch sandwiches are enough for a small meal. 350 or more calories for most of them.

Portion control really does the trick. To be honest I can't think of any other Subway commercials other than
Jared.

I agree. Just think all the sleep we would get. And our self esteem would be so healthy.

Also, welcome back @seahawk7

More Fantasmic advice: instead of doing the dinner package, if you cannot get a FP once you've used 3, aim for the later show if there is one. The earlier one tends to be more crowded and features a dumb preshow. Also, plan more than one night to do it if possible. That way, if something weird happens (weather, dragon doesn't come out...yes that did happen once) you have another opportunity to see it.
Good advice. Fantasmic is one of my favorite things at WDW. I have to see it at least three times a trip. I always cry. The one part of it I don't like is the Pocahontas part.

Hmmm...I'm not sure I am following. Which precautions are beyond necessary?

They've stopped production in all plants even though not all have had ice cream test positive for listeria. I would think this is a wise decision and the best decision just to be safe. However, I'm sure there are companies that would only do the minimum. That's my understanding from the article I read but It's possible I misunderstood it.

@StarWarsGirl95

Apple finally emailed me. Did they help, no! All they did was tell me to do what I have already done and what I told them I did. Idiots.
Sorry.

Reminds me of us having difficulties a year ago with Disney's MME prior to our trip. Umpteen tech reps spoken to and finally reaching one with brain cells that fixed something in moments.

Hahaaa...!
I forgot to mention that, even though my grandparents on pops side had running water, it came from a big above ground cistern next to the kitchen, and that water was only used for bathing and the toilet. At least, I don't remember grandma cooking with it. The drinking water came from a well with a hand pump out by the tractor and car sheds.
The water was kept in a galvanized bucket with a ladle (that everybody shared) on a wooden stand in the kitchen. I used to love to go get the water. You had to leave a little water in the bucket to use for priming the pump for the next bucket. That first cool sip straight from the pump was always the best. :hungry:
Good memories. :)
Reminds me of how I love to drink water from the garden hose or a water gun. Is that weird?

Those chunks of blue cheese look so good.
NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO.... Blue cheese is a product of the devil and his PR group. Somehow he has convinced the public that eating cheese that has gone bad is a delicious thing to do. I have tried it, once! Never again until I am relegated to eating out of dumpsters at the end of my retirement.:in pain::hungover:

Of course, that is just my opinion, but, in this case it is correct.;)

No I think he meant that it's boring around here now that you've finished your trip reports! We liked them so much that you should just continue to post trip reports - even though you're no longer on a trip - you'll just have to make them up as you go along! :)
stop stealing my ideas!!! D:

Oh, I think maybe you might have misterpreted Cesar. Just like the rest of us, I think he loved your cruise trip report, and was missing reading it (once you had finished it), and would settle for a new one (even if the "new" one was made up). :) In other words, I think we all really enjoy each other's trip reports around here, and just can't get enough of them!
exactly!

Shoot, I thought it was blue chese. Feta is yummy too. We have a Greek festival here annually in October. Their feta is to die for. Sitting eating feta cheese and Kalamata olives while watching Greek dancing is the best right next to Octoberfest.

I love blue cheese, can't even stand the smell of feta. Bluck.
