When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
Yes I think you could say I overreacted. I think I was so touchy because I was under a lot of stress with my second job, in danger of losing it due to not having one of my certifications up do date due to fault on the instructors part, and I misdirected my frustration. I was very embarrassed after a couple of days of reflection and I apologize if I was rude or inappropriate.
Welcome back. :) We missed you.

yikes...!!
I smell a lot of lawsuits!

Also, I wonder if they forgot to clean one of their processing centers or not.
I remember there was one of the main distributors of food in the US, guilty of spreading contaminated food.
The annoying part? they were blaming Mexican producers of tomatoes.

It is all their plants that are shutting down and recalling all of their products from what I am understanding. Parlors closed, Walmart pulling products and I believe it was Outback that pulled from menu.

If found responsible yes I would anticipate lawsuits, people are dying. :( I hope they figure it out soon, wonder if the company will recover, this is a large amount of employees suddenly out of work too on top of all the sick and people that have passed. :(

Supposedly you have to plant trees, use less energy, use public transporation.
and companies are supposed to use also less energy (by using less A/C) and even turning off lights.
governments usually just shut down the illumination for some parks/statues/monuments.

Here it is more a day of service, mainly volunteer groups from companies and organizations. The weather isn't going to make for a great success day here. Last year there was 100s of volunteers from fortune 100 company in a different county that came and worked all day on our RiverWalk, they did an amazing job. April is hit or miss with outdoor service projects.

I would be devastated if Blue Bell didn't recover. According to Wikipedia (yeah I know) Blue Bell is the third highest-selling ice cream brand in the United States even though it's mostly only sold in the South. People around here are pretty loyal to the brand. I refuse to buy any other brand of ice cream. I guess I won't be having any ice cream for a while. This is really depressing me. :(

Blue Bell has also always had the best commercials. There commercials and song always take me back to my childhood and give me a warm fuzzing feeling.

See I'm thinking we need to eat at more counter services this time. I don't know if those buffets will do me any favors.

While many of QS restaurants are blah and redundant there are some superior choices within Disney World that rival some of the table service offerings.

Columbia House, eat upstairs - MK

Mara, AKLodge

Captain Hook's at the Polnesian has excellent full breakfasts and amazing lunch and dinners, a good break from parks or going between Epcot and MK

Flame Tree at AK is likely my favorite though QS Yak and Yeti is also a place I enjoy, lots of food for just one person. FT should reopen after a delay in late May.

Sunshine in Future World has so many healthy choices with well prepared food, we hit that one up multiple times during a trip. Desserts are wonderful for a pit stop in Future World and their potato salad is soooo good too.

The Contempo at the Contemporary is similar to Capt. Hooks, with full meals for dinner and great sandwiches for lunch. Also a great break from the parks.

I'm a big fan of Earl of Sandwich in DTD. Seating is my only deterrent.

Yorkshire at UK pavilion Epcot always spot on.

Though harder to get to Roaring Forks at Wilderness Lodge, yum.

Breakfast at the Hallow, MK waffles fresh, hot made to order, a bargain.

The Boardwalk Bakery is good for sandwiches as is Starring Rolls at the Studios, both very share-able.

My experience is you can eat some pretty incredible food at WDW if you avoid the typical burger, chicken places and seek out the ones that offer fresh choices.

Have a funny confession to make. Even though I've been an adult for quite a few years, I still (secretly) want to ride those silly rides they have outside of grocery stores, or in malls, etc. There's a little merry-go-round in front of a grocery store near me, and I see toddlers on it. (Maybe if I went over there late at night when the store was closed, I might be able to sneak on the ride without anyone seeing me? :hilarious: )

Actually they have these at most WDW resort large arcades. Pop in one during the day when they are empty and spin around.

My DD was a toddler and we were staying at the FQ, ride over she carefully slid off the horse to the platform in the evening. The endcap was missing from the pipe-ish footrest and she got this long deep scratch/cut the length of her whole belly, rightfully screaming bloody murder. I took her to the lobby to get something to clean it up with and told them they needed to either close that or put a piece of duct tape over the footrest to cover the raw edges.

In true fashion of Disney World pristine conditions of yesteryear in the morning the ride was repaired as we went down for breakfast. When we returned to our room that evening there was a nice Minnie Mouse plush toy in her crib, (then a full sized real crib) along with a card from Minnie hoping she felt better and a signed photo from Minnie with xoxoxo's.

So be careful as you get on and off the little carousels. ;)

Heh, heh . . . you know, it all seems like so much extra effort when you don't have running water, etc. But when that's all people had, it wasn't any effort at all.

Years ago, my elderly aunt and uncle lived in an old farmhouse up in Maine. They used to pump their own water from a well, and heat up water from the stove. They also had an outhouse. One summer, the family went up to visit them for a few days, and stayed at their house. It was quite the adjustment for us city slickers. I was only about 5 at the time, and I was perplexed by the fact that there were newspapers and magazines on the shelf of the outhouse. Since there was no light in the outhouse at night (except for a little light from an open window), I recall asking my mother how a person could read a newspaper in the dark? I was concerned. :D

Yeah, I did a true wilderness canoe trip down the Wisconsin River for 2 weeks. It was beautiful and we slept on sandbars, pitched tents, dug latrines. Never-ever again. Ever.

When my DD was a preschooler and recently potty trained she had to use the facilities during a soccer game of my DS in a Forest Preserve. They had old fashioned wooden outhouses. I took her in there, she took one look at the hole in the wood and screamed bloody murder, so loud that when she bolted out of there parents were all looking at ME! But she still had to go....I took her far far away from everyone sat her down in the grass for her to Let it Go.

She would have likely balked at that but considering the alternative she likely decided I would not take her back to that wooden box again. :joyfull: She still hates soccer.

Also, welcome back @seahawk7

More Fantasmic advice: instead of doing the dinner package, if you cannot get a FP once you've used 3, aim for the later show if there is one. The earlier one tends to be more crowded and features a dumb preshow. Also, plan more than one night to do it if possible. That way, if something weird happens (weather, dragon doesn't come out...yes that did happen once) you have another opportunity to see it.

Might I suggest one of these:
