What a nice thing to say. Thank you! And the best of luck in whatever you choose. Believe me I didn't start out thinking that I didn't have a profession goal, I just didn't and went with the flow. I actually envied those that had a goal. I knew some that wanted to be wall street people or accountants or nurses or a computer programmer. All of them probably made more money in their quest then I did, because I was always starting over, but I was fortunate that I went up the ladder quickly in the places I went, but financially I could have done better. I fall under the heading of "Jack of all trades and master of none." However, I was never without a challenge and I don't regret anything about my life. At least business wise. I guess all I am saying, in way to many words, is I am not advocating for how I did my life, because I could just have easily ended up living under an interstate bridge in a refrigerator box. Luck has a lot to do with it and also being able to accept what is available and not always holding out for that big prize. Or not being afraid to work for it.
I love it that you said you don't regret anything about your life. It really seemed like you did it the way you wanted to. Those last words you wrote are very great words of wisdom. I will keep them close to me.

I was one of the 2 students that didn't do Senior Skip day. My reasoning is my parents and I'm sure they wouldn't be pleased if I did.

The thing is the class I way in had 3 or 4 "Senior Skip Days". This happened in the 1990s and I can't remember all the days anymore. The seniors were going to places like the Wisconsin Dells and the Six Flags Great America. Six Flags was less than 50 miles away where I live. I remembered hearing about the seniors going to those to place

The way I looked at it, I came out ahead due to the graduation gift. My parents gave me a WDW trip as a graduation gift. I am not a water park person and does not like to do a lot of coasters in a day.
If there was a senior skip day, I was not informed.

Well, no secret here that I absolutely need A/C in the summer.

Although I completely understand trying to save some money, my unsolicited opinion is that it's a medical necessity for you, to have it when you're trying to get sleep. If you hadn't had that stroke and headaches, I might not be pushing it so much for you.
I can truthfully say that I can't understand that. Sweating, uncomfortable in hot weather because it cost more money has never been a direction I would go. I do set priorities, but life is way to short to not take advantage of comfort technology. When I lived up north it was hugely expensive to run my air conditioners (window). I think it averaged out to about $45.00 per month extra over my winter bill. I would get upset and then remember what I spent extra in the winter. Car engines used more gas, many used snow tires in the winter which was a lot extra, whole wardrobes to fit the weather and on top of all that it cost me $2000.00 per season to heat the place. Comparatively, AC was cheap. Now down here in the summer months my bill runs up about $30.00 per month more. But, no additional costs in the winter unless we get a longer stretch of cool air. I learn years ago to just set my thermostat to one temperature because to me, logically, it was easier to maintain a temperature then to keep making it constantly having to raise or lower it. My thermostat winter or summer is set at 71 degrees. I just switch from heat to cool. Just my method of operation... others mileage may vary.

I am not surprised. I was not told about all the Senior skip days ahead of time either.

The thing is the teachers were getting sick of the amount of senior skip days the class I was in. The class I had did not have a senior spring break trip at all and decided to make it up by have a lot of senior skip days instead.

The high school I went to also had a tradition of a senior spring break trip, but the class was only one that did not have one during the 4 school years I was at the high school.

Spaghetti sandwiches were a common occurrence for us when we were kids. It's apparently only something the poor do here in America though because most people seem to think it's weird, even though they eat their spaghetti with bread.

If I’m havin’ spaghetti with bread, I generally put some spaghetti in the middle of a slice of bread, and then fold it over like a taco and eat it...although, I do that with other foods too...!!!! :hungry:
