Good morning, everybody! Had a late night last night watching Endgame with DS. By the end, I was ready for it to be done.

Today is planning menus for the week. I feel like I am entering the " didn't I just make that?" phase. Trying to come up with something different, but not too different, so maybe there is a chance DD will try it. I am thinking one night, maybe a mac and cheese bar. The problem is, beyond broccoli and bacon, I don't know what else I would put out. Chicken seems like a no brainer. Maybe if I have some leftover.

Do you have a Mac & Cheese restaurant near you? Maybe look at their menu, see if anything looks good, then recreate.

@StarWarsGirl , I still have a couple of weeks to enjoy CBS All Access so I've been watching Blue Bloods episodes from Season 10. I'd seen up to Season 9 when Netflix discontinued Blue Bloods.
Anyway.......in watching 10 episodes of PICARD and 4 episodes of Blue Bloods I've seen tons of commercials for Star Trek DISCOVERY.
I'm really not that interested. My favorite was The Next Generation.....and I admit that I really liked PICARD. I guess this rambling post is my way of sounding you out regarding DISCOVERY. What did or what do you think of it?
I like Discovery. It's way different than previous Treks. Like Picard, you have to get used to the fact that it's not episodic; you have to watch one episode, and then the next, and then the next...

Season 1 was kind of okay, but then Season 2 was really, really good. Season 2 brings about a lot of Original Series returning characters (not played by the same actors obviously). And then I'm very attached to Ensign Tilly some of the new characters.

I called the police department about coming over for T’s bday, leading the parade.. They’re sending a couple of cars, and they also said they’d contact the fire department to have a fire truck come as well.

I think he’ll be surprised!

I did hit a bday snag though, most of the purchases wont arrive until after his bday, by 5-10 days! 😬. I ordered last week and thought it was plenty of time. :(
Heads up for anyone trying to order stuff online.
That's awesome!

Just received an email from our baseball coach. If the stay at home order are extended to June 1, then there won’t be a season.

This is so crazy. I know all kids are in the same boat, but imagine missing an entire season of sports when we were children!!
It will definitely have a domino effect for years to come. :(.

I feel so horrible for the older kids, 8th graders and seniors. Just, wow.

I agree I would have lost my mind. This stupid virus has really messed up everything in the world.

It really has. I think for the kids even more than the adults, though I wish none of us were in this situation. It’s not like this is going to be over and quickly forgotten... there will be long term impact in so many areas.

One thing that concerns me is that different states had/have different rules... so there could be kids in other states who are still having sports practice, just not games. I guess we’ll see how this will unfold going forward
I still haven’t heard a definitive ruling on tryouts for baseball or soccer. Imagine not making a team, after making the team the year before, but not playing a single game.

What was the award for? Congratulations!

We have an award call ABIE... A Better Insurance Experience. A co-worker has to nominate you... and one nominated me for a big project I was assigned and talked about what a fantastic job I did, and how I helped out other departments when needed, etc. It was a nice letter for him to write!

Agree.. many people do not understand that episodic content is kinda fading in favour of long term campaings. Rattings and keeping people hooked takes precedent. All other trek stated to get big hits in viewership until they introduced their "long season campaigns".
DS9 with their war on the dominion and Voyager with the Borg campaing.

I may have started something. I ordered health and beauty supplies on Amazon. This is too easy!! :joyfull:
So easy.

Cat food, cat litter, vitamins, medications...we just order from Amazon.

My mom was freaking out because she was low on her allergy medicine but didn't want to walk into a store. I ordered the generic on Amazon on Saturday. It was here on Sunday.

I've got my parents so addicted that they said they'll get their own membership when I move out. This from the same people who didn't understand why I bought it in the first place three years ago... 🙄

I feel bad for all those that can get the time to go. Dh's job cancelled block vacation times for the duration. He can take a day her or there and has no problem taking off for medical reasons but can't take enough time to get back on a daytime schedule, have a few days away must be within 50 driving miles and then back to night schedule. I think I forgot to mention we're restricted to where we can go:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Sorry. It's a day trip for us, 1.5 hours each way. I think it's officially 54 miles each way. We've never even stayed up there, although we've talked about doing a night or two; the Hotel Hershey looks really, really nice.
