Yes! I even touched raw meat for it, LOL! I prefer the vegetarian kind I make with the lentil sauce, but made sausage version because the boyfriend doesn't prefer lentils. Thankfully it's still good, because I have enough leftovers for quite a few more meals, LOL
I feel like we need a drooling emoji in the "like" options for food photos.

I'm not going to even attempt to try to cut any part of my hair besides my bang. I know it would go horribly wrong, I can barely cut my bangs straight. I have never been into hairstyling or anything like that, I just don't have talent for that. I have always appreciated the efforts of my hairstylist because I know it is something I can't do. I thought about getting my hair cut shorter the last time I went, before our WDW trip and I reluctantly decided not to but now I wish I had.

Hubs has a pair of clippers and he might have to go your husband's route and do a buzz. His hair gets to a certain length and he just can't take it any more. He used to buzz his hair for years and then he stopped when we got together. I always told him I was fine if he lost his hair naturally and went bald but he didn't have to do it prematurely as I think he has nice hair. But for this time period I might have to say it's okay.

I was watching the Ellen show this afternoon, and she mentioned that one of the most common Google searches since the c. virus shutdown, are videos about how to cut your own hair at home!!! :hilarious: Guilty!

I also read yesterday, that Walmart has noticed a dramatic increase in home coloring kits -- they can hardly keep it in stock! :jawdrop: (Color is too advanced for me, as my hair is higlighted in a few colors that need a professional to do. Only if I had one color and it was dark, might I try a dark color. But with blonde and medium brown tones, the blonde in particular is tricky.) Nope. Not doing my own colors!! :p

T was personally “challenged” by a friend, to do the Handstand Challenge and post the video on FB. (both via their parents’ accounts)

He did it, then challenged another friend, and me. I tried and gave up quickly, bursting in laughter. Promised I’d try again tonight. Looks easier than it is 😂😂

Does anyone have kids who are joining in this current quarantine challenge? If not, have them try it..fun thing for kids to spend a few minutes on.

Here’s a few stills from the video.

Making a version of the holiday sandwich all day today. I keep eating it before taking a pic. Nice mini Italian rolls, turkey, stuffing, mashed potato, cranberry, a touch of brown gravy. (Am I missing some kind of cream cheese or mayo to mix the cranberry into? I think it's cream cheese. I forget.)

It's super delicious, anyway. Also did some plain ham ones in-between deliveries, trips to my store, the USPS, etc.

Gotta take another delivery as an excuse to go to Publix and get more rolls LOL.

Just had a (recorded) call from Eversource advising high winds, etc., and they might not get to fixing outages as quickly as in other storms, due to workers social distancing.

O.k. Don't they just send up one guy in the cherry picker to fix the pole, to begin with? Who else is involved? Maybe the driver of the truck is sitting in the truck below. That's what I usually see, so why is this situation any different?! 🤦‍♀️

It shouldn't be any different. Best wishes for a good outcome soon.

As a safety precaution, they use at least two people in the event that an accident happens and one of them needs to be pulled off a power line. I would think one would want that person to be a little closer then 6 feet. That's why when they are making repairs you find two working on the line and 4 or 5 watching upward to see what is going on.

They send one up in the bucket to repair. The others have to stand by and make sure he is safe and doing it right. It’s mostly OSHA rules to protect everyone. And call if their is an accident. Sometimes there are more than two in a crew.
A very long time ago, we lost a guy that fell and died. The rules are there for a reason, and OSHA is very adamant about safety.
Good luck with the outages. It will take awhile if you have a lot out of power. DH is going to make his office here home base tomorrow so he doesn’t have to go into his office. He will advise all the scouts where to go. We still have so many out.
Good news. My DD got her power back n this afternoon. They went off at 3 am.

Liquor stores, tobacco and weed are essential here, apparently.
I do think it really is vague for definition for what is essential because what one state is considered essential is different

What I read today is odd though before an update was made that explained the reasoning.

Florida has declared WWE an Essential business. That means Florida thinks a professional wrestling company is an essential business.

I called it odd originally because Florida considers pro wrestling essential, but some states do not.

Glad you could enjoy your Easter with your parents @donaldtoo I heard your governor is going to be opening up your state again. Hopefully you will be able to get back in the office and start posting awesome office munchie photos again.

Thank you...!!! :)
Other than sayin’ “Hi...!” from the curb with them standin’ on the front porch, this is the first time we’ve visited with them on that side deck of their temporary digs since before this all started. We all stayed more than 6 feet away in our respective household groups (although youngest DD moved into her own place months ago, she still visits often), and went through the yard gate to get to the deck. Not through the house.
None of us really go anywhere to speak of. Youngest DDs school has been closed for a coupla’ months, DWifey and DS lost their jobs, this is my 4th week workin’ from home, Megan has been a SAHM since Emy was born, and Daniel has been workin’ from home since before I did.
Food is either curb-side grocery or drive-thru.
My folks were always out and about busy before, so are now gettin’ quite antsy (to say the least), but, other than a bit of walkin’ ‘round the neighborhood, they’re stayin’ put.
If I go to the corner store, I wear a mask and bring wipes to touch everything with.
We discussed the state opening back up during our Monday mornin’ office Zoom meeting today. The word is after the 30th, but, of course, that could all be extended if people don’t continue proper distancing.
Also, when we do go back, the same office precautions will be taken that were in place just before we left.
As of tonight, our county of 546,000+ residents has 117 confirmed cases and 4 deaths. The county south with our office, Austin proper, and 1,274,000+ residents has 774 confirmed cases and 9 deaths.
It sounds like the vast majority of people around here are doin’ what needs to be done. Hopefully. And, if so, hopefully they keep doin’ it.
