Nothing, LOL. She's pretty certain I'm the Easter Bunny but not Santa. I don't know, we've never really pushed the envelope with the make believe stuff. I've never said it wasn't true, but also don't feed into it. So I kinda just don't answer her questions LOL. I typically answer with "well, what do you think?"
So I think I've mentioned before that my parents never did the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, or Santa Claus with me. So I went to school, and all the kids were saying how they got gifts from the Easter Bunny/Santa Claus, and I was like, "That wasn't Santa; that's just your parents." My parents had a very serious talk with me about that. 😂

My best friend growing up wouldn't let it go, though. She knew I didn't believe in Santa, and she did, so it was constantly trying to convince me that Santa was real. She'd bring it up, and I was like, "How does one man bring a bunch of presents to all the kids in the world in one night?" And then she showed me a picture of her sitting on Santa's lap. I was like, "You're sitting on a guy's lap who's dressed up as Santa."

Her parents must have had to work pretty hard to keep up the charade. I don't recall telling the other kids after my parents had the talk with me, but she was persistent, and I was not having it.

As a product of the 60's and 70's I never liked short hair, have always kept it long (except time in service)so this stay at home no haircut is a non issue for me.
My son’s hair is starting to get long. I like it though. I always had him in a surfer type cut. Then he started puberty and his hair became weird, curling here and there. So then he needed it shorter. It seems to have tamed itself again, so the longer hair doesn’t look awful anymore.

Had a very scary night here. Winds were over 39 mph. Our deck furniture moved from one side of the deck to the other. And the neighbor’s trampoline landed on top of a fence. Our power is on thankfully. We got about 3 hours sleep.
My Mom lives in another county. Her power went off at 10 pm and came back on at 1 am.
My DD lost power around 3 am. There was tornado warning for them around 5:30 am. Circulation seen down the road from them. Touched down in nearby county. She said it was the worst storm she has ever seen.
I am thankful we are all ok.

Me: Please don't let Mom come up and say she wants to go to the basement. Please don't let Mom come up and say she wants to go to the basement. Please...
Mom: We should go to the basement.

The wind wasn't even blowing. I was like, do what you want; I still have to work. Nothing here.

This is the one I used. https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/french-silk-pie/

I chose this one because it does not have raw eggs in it. You have to continuously whisk the eggs in a double boiler until it gets to a certain temperature, so they are cooked, but still liquidy. I also used her pie crust recipe, but we didn't add quite enough water...we should have used one more tablespoon, so it was a bit crumbly and hard to roll out, but you might have a favorite recipe anyway.
Thank you
