Dh and I were joking about how in 9 months there may be a spike in births and also a spike in divorces.
My dad was wondering if that crazy lady who wanted to stay in the Cinderella Castle suite in WDW because their vacation was cancelled lives in Maryland. He said he would be happy to represent the husband in the divorce. 😂

Yeah, that one and Twilight are nopes for me. I did find the Martian, the Help, Outlander, and Ready Player One through that list. All excellent reads.
Well it makes sense that 50 Shades of Grey is a nope for you if Twilight is. It originally started as twilight fan fiction and was apparently so popular that the author decided to self-publish. But since the names and characters were not her own, she had to change the names and a few characteristics or something? I love Twilight, but I hate fan fiction...it never captures the essence of the characters. So just based on that alone, I won't read it, but I'm also not into that genre at all, and I'm told by people who HAVE read it that the writing is terrible. So I'm staying away from that.

I loved The Help...I read it when it first came out. The book is way better than the movie, of course. I haven't read The Martian or Ready Player One though. I'm torn on Tolkein because while it's popular, my husband says he thinks it might be a bit too graphic for me. I get nightmares really easily from suspenseful books, so I trust his judgment on that. Also torn about A Prayer for Owen Meany...John Irving can go either way. I feel like his stories just ramble and don't really GO anywhere. I would like to read Alice's adventures in Wonderland and I actually have a copy of The Handmaid's Tale that I bought years ago from the bargain table at a bookstore and I just haven't had the guts to read it yet. The Giver is on my list, too, and Catch -22 and a couple others.

Have you read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm thinking I'm going to cancel Disneyland this year. There's too much uncertainty around the coronavirus. I'm thinking I might just fly straight out to Hawaii and go there for a second year instead, and then maybe go to Disneyland next year. Aulani and everything in Hawaii seems to be staying open, but California is in really bad shape. Plus I found a flight out there for less than what I paid last year.

I don't know, I'll talk to my dad tonight and my boss to see what he says.
Update: first I mentioned it to Mom, then she mentioned it to Dad. They hadn't even been thinking about it, but now they both think I have a point. So we're having that conversation tonight. They were thinking that they'd go to Disneyland too, but now they're thinking maybe of just swapping and going to Hawaii the entire time. We can use the points to go to Disneyland next year.

Work approved for me to switch the week I go if needed.

I love Science Fiction, so I loved Ready Player One. That book packs so many references into one book. The Martian was surprisingly funny.

Handmaid's Tale was required reading in high school senior year. I have no idea how it got in there since there's fairly graphic sex scenes in there, but anyway, not really my cup of tea.

The Help was excellent. I just read it last year.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is one of my favorite books. Just get passed the fact that there's absolutely no point to it. It's just nonsense. There's no hidden meaning. It was written by a guy who was very, very high.

I have a copy of the Giver, I just haven't read it yet.

I have not read The Curious Incident of the Dog in Nighttime.

So get that. I'm just waiting it all out to see what is going to happen, there isn't a Magic 8 Ball for this one.

When were you going to Disneyland?

What about seniors? Would they automatically graduate them? What about grades for transcripts?
So, DD goes to E Learning in 2 weeks. Next week would be Spring Break. AP classes will start. APush never really stopped. All indications are AP tests will happen at home. Sounds like ACT and SAT are cancelled. DD is nervous, because she was really counting on her score to give her a nice boost. And no college visits.

Here is the real stres at my house. DS is a senior. His school has decided to canacel face to face classes for the rest of this year. One of the classes he needs to complete is his senior recital. Not happening, at this point. So will he be able to graduate? This isn't his only performance based class. He was hoping to record the recital, which would have been all pieces that he either wrote or arranged. He than would use that as his portfolio for grad school. No idea how it is going to work. Add to that, need to get his stuff from his dorm, no word on that. And, it would be nice to know if the school will at least prorate room and board. Very frustrating, high stress, crazy.

Totally understand. It's out of your control so pray for peace and faith.

Me? I believe everyone at the University Level that did or does what is required or adjusted required will Graduate. I cannot imagine the University wanting to deal with Student Loans provisions for not giving credit for any course. It would be a nightmare and lawsuits galore.

Just a little word of caution to those of you who go to the gym but now have to find alternate ways of exercising. Well, today, I thought I’d better go ahead and do an outdoor run. You know, the old fashioned way. The way people have been doing it for centuries. What could possibly go wrong? Nothing. Nothing at all. Until I came to that first cracked sidewalk. And, uhhhhh, well let’s just say that stepping on a crack will not only break your mother’s back. It will break yours too. And your arms. And your neck. And your legs. Especially your legs. And now, I’ll go in search of band-aids. Lots and lots of band-aids. 😬

Yeah no. Running is bad for you.

And that is why SWG will not be running. I'd sprain an ankle ...

in other news, my airline reps are being total idiots. I have told them so many times that I wanted to cancel or move my dates and that I'm not a canadian citizen (means I would be getting stopped by the border). Now these clowns told me "aa yeah, you will need to contact your embassy as you will get blocked". Why the hell would I want to contact my embassy? I JUST WANT TO CHANGE THE DATEEEE.
