That's an idea! I could drive by the drive-through window, and display a big paper sign that says, "Hi". :joyfull:

P.S.: What really concerns me about these temporary bank lobby closures, is that if the bank management think that it worked well, then they might get the notion to actually shut down some branch offices, once everything gets back to normal. :( I don't want to talk through some big glass window to the tellers. They're so nice, and they have free coffee and lollipops inside the bank for the customers ( well . . . up until the lobby closure yesterday, that is). :(

You don’t need the big paper sign...all the lanes have intercoms...!!! ;):)

Just a little word of caution to those of you who go to the gym but now have to find alternate ways of exercising. Well, today, I thought I’d better go ahead and do an outdoor run. You know, the old fashioned way. The way people have been doing it for centuries. What could possibly go wrong? Nothing. Nothing at all. Until I came to that first cracked sidewalk. And, uhhhhh, well let’s just say that stepping on a crack will not only break your mother’s back. It will break yours too. And your arms. And your neck. And your legs. Especially your legs. And now, I’ll go in search of band-aids. Lots and lots of band-aids. 😬

Ohhhhh, fun...!!!!!!! :joyfull:;)
Seroiusly, hope ya’ heal quickly...!!! :)
Back in HS when I was playing soccer I pulled off a successful slide tackle at high speed, but, paid for it. I was wearing no shin guards and my tube socks were down. I ended up with a huge raspberry/raw spot down the side of my left lower leg. I pulled my socks up and continued playing. After I got home, I chilled for a bit on the patio before showering. Mistake. Later, when I went to take the sock off, it was stuck to all of the wound...not peel and stick, but stick and peel...!!!!! :in pain::hilarious:

So, DD goes to E Learning in 2 weeks. Next week would be Spring Break. AP classes will start. APush never really stopped. All indications are AP tests will happen at home. Sounds like ACT and SAT are cancelled. DD is nervous, because she was really counting on her score to give her a nice boost. And no college visits.

Here is the real stres at my house. DS is a senior. His school has decided to canacel face to face classes for the rest of this year. One of the classes he needs to complete is his senior recital. Not happening, at this point. So will he be able to graduate? This isn't his only performance based class. He was hoping to record the recital, which would have been all pieces that he either wrote or arranged. He than would use that as his portfolio for grad school. No idea how it is going to work. Add to that, need to get his stuff from his dorm, no word on that. And, it would be nice to know if the school will at least prorate room and board. Very frustrating, high stress, crazy.
I'm so glad I'm working and not in college with all this nonsense.

I love Science Fiction, so I loved Ready Player One. That book packs so many references into one book. The Martian was surprisingly funny.

Handmaid's Tale was required reading in high school senior year. I have no idea how it got in there since there's fairly graphic sex scenes in there, but anyway, not really my cup of tea.

The Help was excellent. I just read it last year.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is one of my favorite books. Just get passed the fact that there's absolutely no point to it. It's just nonsense. There's no hidden meaning. It was written by a guy who was very, very high.

I have a copy of the Giver, I just haven't read it yet.

I have not read The Curious Incident of the Dog in Nighttime.
Hrmmm....is it nonsense like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? I only made it through the first couple of pages of that and had to put it down. I don't do well with no point. I can do strange, but nonsense, not so much.

I really liked The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. I read it either shortly before or shortly after we got A's diagnosis and there were a few things that really resonated with me about the main character. He talks about his food issues and explained a lot. But just the overall story...it was sad, but enlightening. I actually had no clue what it was about when I picked it up, but I'm glad I read it.

Proof positive that exercise is evil. Best advice is to just sprawl out on the couch, and eat bon bons. ;)

(Sorry about your fall, Buddy; that looks painful.) :(

I ran outside yesterday. It was so nice. I just took a wide berth of a person walking on the same side of me.

It funny though...the past few days I've seen more people walking than ever before.

My husband ordered pizza last night, and I tried the Hawaiian. It was good, except I wished the ham was in chunks, rather than strips. I also had fried mushrooms, but the BBQ sauce was too spicy. I might mix that with some ketchup to tone it down. Don't want to throw the leftovers away. They gave us a lot. Ordered from LaVilla on the northside of Chicago.

Yesterday I felt like I was under house arrest. I never got in the car to go anywhere. After dinner I put on my sneakers and just walked around my neighborhood. I passed some others who were doing the same. It was good 👍
