I like those seasonal Cadbury Easter egg filled candies. :hungry:

Speaking of good junk to eat, I've been picking up more impulse buy sweet treats at the store -- brownies, breakfast pastry, candy, chips and cookies. I think it's filling a void because of all the usual things I'm doing during the week -- all cancelled, just like everyone else's. Might as well eat. :hilarious:
I have a feeling we are all going to gain weight during this! 🤣

Depending on when your trip is, keep in mind that the virus is present in Hawaii and hasn't really started it's spread there yet. Things in California will open when they start to get to the backside of that curve. So Hawaii might not be at a place where they're closing everything yet
I think that is the grown up thing to do .
Smart woman. Aulani has started curbing services and offerings

I like the Cadbury candies as well. We have a few small cream eggs and I have a bag of the candy coated mini-eggs. I'm trying to save them though and not eat a lot of junk food, although we barely keep a lot in the house any more.

Standardized testing for 2020 has been cancelled countrywide.

Yes. grades and transcripts can wait, the Universities themselves have already punted themselves. They have cancelled Grad Ceremonies and my gut says this will trickle on down to High School, proms etc and 8th grade graduations around here.

It is only my gut and watching my former board members dance, I know them, I can read them. If and when it happens I would hope it would be through the State(s) board of education so they are all on the same page.

Just seeing the entire country getting worse, supplies not available, businesses ordered to close doors, 3 phases of bail out from Government I don't see strides of children being brought back to school. As I think about it I hope the parks and pools open this summer or @figmentfan423 will go crazy.
I have a deck and high speed blender, I'll survive ;) edit and ear plugs

Work was slow today, so I did some DIY violin repairs.

This is my great, great grandfather's violin. He was a professional instrumentalist. It kept coming out of tune, so I wasn't playing. It finally occured to me that the strings probably needed to be changed.

So the strings have been changed and I pilfered the chin rest and shoulder rest off of my old student violin. I need to get fine tuning pegs and a new bridge for it. I think I can DIY both of those myself. Wiped a ton of dust off of it. It is now tuned and sounds sooo good.

Now I need to order viola strings and do the same thing to the viola.

585 cases, and 5 deaths in Illinois. I have no problem with staying home. I will check my meds, and if I need any, CVS will deliver them. Good time to use up all the stuff that's in my pantries, and fridge. I have always kept a full kitchen. I always say that you will never go hungry in my house. It might not be what you want to eat, but I can always put together a meal for myself. My husband is more picky.

Not unless something new came out today or yesterday. Their current "lockdown" means no traveling more than 50 miles. A complete lockdown like they're talking about is no leaving your home.

If you want to be technical, no one is traveling right now unless it's wicked important.

I'm doing a grocery delivery service for the first time (for Aldi) and I sort of have anxiety over it.

That's an idea! I could drive by the drive-through window, and display a big paper sign that says, "Hi". :joyfull:

P.S.: What really concerns me about these temporary bank lobby closures, is that if the bank management think that it worked well, then they might get the notion to actually shut down some branch offices, once everything gets back to normal. :( I don't want to talk through some big glass window to the tellers. They're so nice, and they have free coffee and lollipops inside the bank for the customers ( well . . . up until the lobby closure yesterday, that is). :(
I also wouldn’t want tellers to lose jobs. Our bank offers lollipops too. 🙂

Nice. My grandmother’s violin was made in the 1700’s. I still have mine, but haven’t played it in eons.
