Yay!! Now I'm only 200 pages behind!! Of course, Monday I have to go back to work after having been sick since Wednesday, so that will severely cut into the time I have to spend on here, but I WILL make it.

I'm still able to enjoy a donut here and there. Yesterday a 5th grader brought in 3 boxes of donuts from DUNKIN I was a happy she offered me one jelly donut. Yet the way you describe your evolving lack of interest with donuts is how I now feel about French Fries. I used to love French Fries but now they just seem greasy..unhealthy..my brain says: Steve...don't eat that...or just eat a couple and that's it!
I find this has also happened with shrimp. Used to love them now meh!
I know your taste buds change in your life. The last time mine changed was when I was 30. I went from hating ham and cabbage to craving both!

I doubt we would get anywhere. Florida is a “right to work” state. That’s one of those things named the opposite of what it really means lol.
And there seems to be a trend. Amazon down here just laid off a whole bunch of drivers (including an acquaintance of mine) after about 10-11 months of work so they wouldn’t have to make them full time with benefits. They’ve already hired replacements and are still advertising for more new hires. (That’s similar to what the stadium was pulling on Brian in the Spring, before the strategic promotion and sudden firing.)
He did a “shadowing” of a manager of a fancy schmancy movie theater/bar/restaurant combo last night, not sure if that’s going anywhere, but it seemed interesting to me.

T’s team played AMAZING today!! In first place right now, but only by goal differential with the team we tied in our first game today.
As long as we win tomorrow morning and score as we have been, we should see a final!!!
I hate to say this, but honestly one of the referees cost us the W in our first game. The only reason they tied was due to a PK (in the last minute)- which never should have been called in the first place. Crazy call after crazy call.. our entire team was warned that we would get kicked out if we said one more word. Honestly we weren’t belligerent, more like shocked- continuously. I really hope that doesn’t stop us from the final!!! The second game we won 8-0. That other team won 5-3 against their opponent.. so, we’re in a slight lead.
Went to Bdubs between the two matches, the boys have so much fun together. Such a great group of boys and parents... I may be unhappy with several decisions by the club over the past few years, but I am so grateful that we’ve always had nice kids and nice parents on our team.

My computer is running closer to normal. What happened I had a Windows 10 1903 update and it gave my computer grief. My computer even stopped running online while I was online. I had other problems like my computer refused to shut down after it got that Windows 10 1903 update and taking a long time to boot up the computer.
The update needed to be uninstalled and there is a difference in speed now and computer can shut down.

We went shopping in Charlotte yesterday-Ikea and outlets. Drove by the Charlotte Motor Speedway @Mr Ferret 88.

Very nice. Never seen the raceway (only been to the airport in Charlotte), but I have seen the Richard Petty Museum in Randleman, NC, and also the Richard Childress Racing Museum and his vineyards in Lexington, NC. (One of my brothers lives in Lexington, and he showed me both of those places, when I visited him, some years ago.)

I just read 19 pages in N&R about the accident last night. First of all, luckily, no one was hurt. Secondly, some of those people were stuck for over 2 1/2 hours -- just watched a local FL reporter who was on one of them, in a news video she posted. As bad as it all was, it could have been much worse in the daytime, with high heat and humidity. At least it happened at night, with sun and temperatures down.
Not sure I want it to fail completely. It's far from what I would have preferred (more monorail routes), and also I never minded the bus routes either (except they could put on more buses when needed). I also like all of the boat services.
Time will tell if this new system will recover. We're all hoping the problem will be resolved completely and never happen again. At this point, I'd say I'm still a bit hesitant to ride it.

When my son lived in Charlotte I would drive up and we would go to the NHRA drag races at the Charlotte Motor Speed Way nothing like the the smell of nitromethane burning and the sound of a 10,000hp engine racing down the track.
