We put a placeholder down on the cruise so we are looking towards another cruise out of Dover in 2021. Next year we are headed back to Jersey ( the original one) for the air display again.
Most of the photos are on Instagram. Didnt want to clog up here. Video never got made as was too busy relaxing 😎
Ok. So I have then seen all the pictures. Where is the 2021 cruise going?

It’s $170 per semester, but $500 if you sign up/pay for the year at once.
Spanish, French, or German.

It’s optional, was not optional when part of school day curriculum- and only Spanish was offered with that, until 7th grade when they had a choice of French or Spanish. Regardless, it’s a blindside that we should have been made aware of PRIOR to the first day of school. It’s been part of the curriculum since kindergarten.
Ummm....that math doesn't add up. Maybe someone already mentioned it, but 2 semesters at $170 should make it $340 per year....if you pay more by whole year, you are getting ripped off!!

I channeled my inner @figmentfan423 today. I made 4 kinds of soups. I made a sweet potato chowder, creamy cheezy (no real cheese in it) broccoli, creamy celery, and tomato soup. Also have a pumpkin bread in the oven. The house smells amazing.
The 2 youngest have been making Halloween goodie bags already. They also painted their pumpkins. I will get pictures when they are dry.

In other news.. Ticketmaster in Mexico as the worst possible service of all the systems I've ever had the displeasure of using.

1) Their lines are always busy
2) when they ring they not get picked up.
3) Their site is unusable mess that hammers you with nonstop Google Capcha protections every time you try to search for tickets.
4) Tickets are only searchable on a single venue, on a single event on a single hour. (so you have to suffer #3 over and over and over as you try to find tickets you want).
5) Horribly Inconsistent. Sometimes it will tell you that there are available tickets, then the next 20 minutes it will say there isnt. and So on..

Not only were us parents reprimanded again today, but our coach was almost kicked out of the game too!!!

He’s furious. I have never seen such bad calls during a TOURNAMENT!!! We had justifiable calls, 4-5 fouls. The problem is, the other team was not having any calls against their own highly visible fouls. It’s fine to call, but call both ways!!!
There was also two blatant handballs by the opposing team, one in the box- neither of those were called either.

2nd half, we’re up 2-1 Our GK did a brilliant dive and save at the edge of the box. One of his feet were touching the line, rest of his body was in. The ref called a penalty on it!!! What?!? Honestly, our parents were yelling and upset at that point. Our coach tried to talk to one of the line refs.. the main ref went over and said “Don’t question my calls”. Opposing team gets free kick at the goal- they make it. Tied game.

We go down and score. BUT- don’t actually score, line ref says one of our kids feet was ahead of the opposing players foot- offsides.
I guess it’s a possibility, so everyone tried to shake it off.
They get the ball again.. lots of shoving, and then a trip— NO call!! Our player is down and has to be carried off the field.
No drop kick because ref says the opposing team had advantage, another free kick. T stops the kick with his chest and starts dribbling, 2 of their players attack.. T tried to pass the ball to a teammate, opposing kid sticks his foot out at same time, the ball hits the ref. Another free kick to them!!!
everyone is yelling at this point, clearly aggravated.

Our boys are looking visibly frustrated at this point as well.

We get it back, take it to their goal, their keeper dives when our kid kicks- no contact. Ball goes in the net. NOPE. Penalty called for kicking the GK. There was NO CONTACT.

You can see the frustration, anger, and sadness in our players now. Other team gets the ball...back and forth on the field between us. They get to the box, another one of their players is offsides by a good 2 feet. We’re all screaming... pass- goal. No offsides called. Our coach throws his phone on the ground and yells for the ref. They have words, but call is not reversed. Our coach storms to the back of the bench.

Whistle blows. Game over. Every boy on the field drops down to the ground. Several crying.

Look, this isn’t the World Cup, but to these boys it’s almost just as important.
We’ve had some horrible refs this season, but there is NO EXCUSE to have so many bad calls in a tourney. None.

Coach talks to the boys, tells them that they were robbed.. but need to take it in stride.

They come off the field sobbing. T was crying really hard. He didn’t even want to go for ice cream.

All I could say to him is was- Be proud of how you played. Sometimes life isn’t fair, we just have to deal with it. Be upset now, but know that if you continue to play as you were, you’ll win almost every time.

I feel so bad for their team. :(

Very nice. Never seen the raceway (only been to the airport in Charlotte), but I have seen the Richard Petty Museum in Randleman, NC, and also the Richard Childress Racing Museum and his vineyards in Lexington, NC. (One of my brothers lives in Lexington, and he showed me both of those places, when I visited him, some years ago.) :)
Oh nice! We have driven through Randleman coming home from visiting Dd. She lives a bit north of there.

Well, that stinks for T and his team. However, better that they deal with unfair situations now while they're younger, and learn to move beyond them. (Next time, tell T to go for ice cream anyway -- no reason to miss out on some delicious scream. Lord knows, I can always eat! ;) )

I feel guilty because I almost feel like the ref wanted to make sure we lost, because of us parents. We weren’t cursing or anything.. but omg it was impossible to keep quiet. Everyone was standing.
The other team’s parents even talked to some of us and said how bad the ref was towards our team. Even their own coach didn’t cheer for their offsides goal which shouldn’t have been a goal.

We should have stayed quiet. Lesson learned for us too. I do know that the coach is filing a formal complaint against this specific ref. Two games full of unbelievably wrong calls and ignoring of blatant fouls and handballs. I don’t know what will happen with it, but I do hope that ref can never impact a game in this way again.

You fear they might start fighting for food? or one stealing form the other?
Food stealing is already a thing with Jasmine. If I give them less, Belle might not get enough. If I switch them to diet, Belle might not be able to handle the food with her sensitive tummy. And feeding them separately isn't really good either. They're like humans in that way; eating together builds bonds. We give Belle extra food a few times a day. The vet has suspected hyperthyroidism in her because she has trouble with the weight.

Belle used to be 10 pounds. She once went down to five. That was before I even got Jasmine. Now she weighs more, but she's forever running around with Jasmine, so between that and the suspected hyperthyroidism, we have to be really careful to make sure she doesn't lose too much weight.

In the meantime, I just make sure Jasmine gets plenty of exercise. She doesn't wattle, and she doesn't get out of breath or tire easily during play. So we'll just work on getting her weight down that way hopefully.

Several parents were taking videos of the game.. two have the entire second half, each from a different vantage point. T’s coach asked for the videos so he can send them with his complaint.

It’s too late for T’s team, but that ref needs to be reprimanded and realize that it’s not a refs job to direct who wins and who loses.

oh well. That’s the end of my rant for the day.
