I happen to like Le Chefs as well. Maybe it's me, but I still enjoy it. Dont get me wrong, I like Via Napoli as well.

Le Cellier portions are "normal". Not big, not small. They do have big plates that makes it look smaller. I would hardly call them elegant though.

-dave

I don't think it is BAD I just don't think it is somewhere I really want to eat. I like.

Yeah, you nailed it with the "normal" size. With all the coke, pretzel bread, the entree and dessert you should leave full.

We went to Beaches & Cream on my birthday last year and got the Kitchen Sink for dessert... yes, my family thought it would be SOOOOOOOOOO funny to sing to me while placing this S!!!!!!!! in front of me!!!

You're the best for doing these food reports John!!
The pork tenderloin and goat cheese polenta at California Grill is probably the best meal I've ever had in my life-glad Colleen enjoyed it.

Dude that is just a crazy set of food. I'm getting fat just looking at it. If we could get into LeCellier everyday we would. However, we will have to settle for the once maybe twice per trip. Agree totally with you on the Yachtsman vs LeCellier thing. We do both each time for both experiences. Still love LeCellier a little more. Going for Food and Wine in November and will be doing both in the same day to compare. I do like the Creme brulee at LeCellier better. I also think that Chefs de France is not that bad. Have been there several time and mainly had the lamb which is a staple. For me anyway. Need to know however, as my darling bride has a severe seafood allergy if Nacrosse's is a place we could go to where she wouldn't get sick.

What an amazing trip food report! Geez I wish I was there now though! I'm going to forward my hubby the link to that martini flight at Le Cel. He's going to be so sorry he didn't order that when we were there. Oh well, just an excuse to go back! We loved the steak there as well (although, for me, it wasn't the brightest idea to have such a huge meal there 2 hours before running the Tower of Terror 13K that night! LOL).

The birthday cake was beautiful. Did you get to share it?

Oh, man, the No Way Jose looks incredible. I think I'll have to get one. It's probably a whole day's worth of food for me, though. Or, if I had that at lunchtime, I'd have to eat dinner at 10pm to have room.

That sampler at 50's PT looks like a lot of food! I see two pieces of fried chicken; are the meatloaf wedge and the portion of pot roast small or large? It looks really good.

I was underwhelmed by my first visit to CA Grill, so I was kind of "glad" to read that you were, too--now I feel normal. It wasn't like I wouldn't go back, but I just didn't get what all the fuss was about. I figured they were just having an off night. One of these years, I'll give it another try and hopefully will have a great meal.

Nick's mystery Sunshine Seasons meal looks like the pork chop--my hubby had it last year.

I like to try new places, too, but you pretty much confirmed what I was thinking--no Jiko for me! Totally not a fan of curry.

Loved your pictures and especially the commentary. I have to ask--how did you guys eat so much food at every meal and not explode? I just finished taking off the ten pounds I put on last year by having an app and dessert with every meal during my F&W Fest trip! (notice that this year's annual F&W pilgrimage starts in just five weeks!)

Come on...it aint THAT bad. If I like it it HAS to be at least decent. I don't like anything!

He was eating just butter? That is horribly disgusting! Haha

The mousse is actually bigger if you ask me!

I guess your right, it just wasn't my cup of tea so to speak!

And yes, just the butter! The kid as issues. I blame his father! :ROFLOL: :ROFLOL:

You know what, now that you mention it, the mousse used to be served in like a tall narrow shot type glass right? the new serving dish is wider.

One of our favorite places to grease in Disney is 50's Prime Time Cafe. I LOVE the Fried Chicken and the Gravy. I am a fan of the greens too but I LOVE Mashed Potatoes and Chicken Gravy more so I am going to risk getting yelled at to get double Mashed Potatoes!

50's Prime Time Cafe.

Here is my Aunt Liz's Fried Chicken. I actually said to our server "If I HAVE to eat greens to get dessert I have no issue with that. I LOVE the potatoes and gravy so I want double". He just laughed and said he's never heard anyone put it like that before and not to worry about eating the greens!

You have no idea how happy this makes me. I thought that I was alone in my love for the fried chicken at 50's PT. I am from Tennessee and I KNOW my fried chicken. This stuff is amazing. I also really love the greens. I will be eating this very meal in about 15 days!

I've really enjoyed your trip report on the food. Now to make my list for our next trip. The pictures are great!!! Wish mine were as good, but I'm a point and shoot. Also have to remember to take the picture before we are half way through with the food. HA! HA!

I am so impressed by the quality of your food pictures, Jon! The lighting looked horrible in some of those restaurants, but your pictures look great!

Now I know why we didn't see you while we were there, you were apparently eating the entire time.

Jon great report loved the new pictures.. WOW on the prices per meal.. But where is the Carmel shop located is that something new.. It looked so good. I was hoping when you did the sidewalk cafe in France you would have had the picture Lance and I had there, we cannot remember what we had but it was so so good. I am sure if you had dessert there you got something strawberry. I canceled Tonys it was to be our first time but just not sure about it and y9ou topped that for us. I did rebook 50's because of the sampler plate. I think the guys will get full so its a go again because we canceled Mamas for that. Jan is too far away and I keep changing our ressies.. You keep this up and I have to redo all our TS dinners.. Glad you had a good time Thanks now on to the people pictures, are there any good ones????

I'd 100% switch to Via Napoli and Remmy is not even promised to be there. He is on a schedule.

Well, my sister wants to keep France... In her words "we need to try new places!"... She just wants to see Remy. (I told her he wasn't guaranteed though) But I suppose I'll let her have her one meal considering every other time we go I always choose probably 80% of the dining.

BUT - I did manage to get a lunchtime ressie for Via Napoli so now we will have to debate on eating there or Beaches N Cream... Decisions, decisions...

Point and shoot pictures are fine! I did it for a long time like that!

I am VERY guilty of starting to eat before I can snap a picture!!!
