Took the words out of my mouth. The "younger folks" excuse doesn't cut it for me. I'm 20, and I first saw the show when I was 14-15. I have not really enjoyed any of the times I've seen it since that first time (I've seen it maybe 3 times). I love Phil Collins' versions of the songs, and I really do not think the show does the music any justice. It's just me though, because obviously others enjoy it. Just not me :wave:Disneyfan1981 said:I was really disappointed in Tarzan Rocks!, it really didn't do it for me. I love Phil Collins but the singers didn't do him justice and it seemed like more of a rock concert then an actual show. Something was missing, because the Lion King is almost the same exact format but it still was far more enjoyable that this. I'm not sad its leaving but I hope Tarzan is represented somewhere else in the park.
I am right there with ya!! I love Tarzan Rocks!!! Bellealya922 said:As a singer myself, I love Tarzan simply for that fact that it is one of the only places I can actually see people sing live within a show in the parks! Yes, I know Ariel (I haven't seen an Ariel who could sing in years and I've gone every year for the past 21 years!), Beauty & the Beast (not a very good representation of the movie IMO), FOTLK, and the unparalleled Voices of Liberty. But Tarzan has a different feel to it. As someone said, it IS more of a rock concert, which highly appeals to me, perhaps its because I'm 24 but probably not because my parents love it as well! But also because of the talent of the band, as well as the singers.
As a music lover and a Disney lover, I love the blend of live music, talented singers, gymnastics, extreme sports, and dance. I think the concept is wonderfully executed. So needless to say, I am extremely sad to lose this show. I imagine I'll feel the same way I did when we lost Hunchback a few years back. I still get sad over it and probably always will to see such Disney magic destroyed.
Well, I guess I'll have to plan a trip before then....*getting out the credit card!*

When I went in Feb 1999 I can remember there being one because my mom and my cousin were singing the "I wanna be like you" song. I am almost positive. Then Tarzan Rocks was there when I went back a couple years later.

Tell us how you really feel, please don't hold back. :lol:Pumbas Nakasak said:So Tarzan Sucks is leaving, i for one will not be shedding any tears. The skaters are fine, but the music :brick: :brick: :brick: Concert loud concert lighting, back street pub band, and worse they play Phil everysongsoundsthesame Collins music. Phil go back to Genesis pick up the sticks and forget writing 4th rate movie scores.
As for replacement, it would make an ideal pin cart location. Besides with a new attraction about to open best close an existing one, save employing any more of them pesky CMs
Hopefully when my Tarzan Rocks edit is complete (have now done up to the end of "Trashing the Camp") it will help ease the pain. Assuming this rumour is true.nicholas said:My dancers! What will I do without my beautiful dancers!!!
