Tarzan Rocks leaving in September '05

Tarzan Rocks is definitly my favorite Disney stage show. I will miss it but I am cool with it leaving.

I do wish though that instead of doing another stage show that a new D-ticket dark ride would be placed in that location. Something like an omnimover to eat the crowds heading between Everest and Dinosaur.

My family and I thought the Tarzan Rocks! show was pretty cool. I think the best part of it was that the format was different then most of the Disney story-telling shows. I think variety keeps Disney going. I will be sad if the show leaves not because I think it is the most awesome show on earth, but because I fear it will be replaced with something that is not as unique.

Bingo! That's one of things I like about it, which is also applicable to Festival of the Lion King.

I'll post once I have finished my multi camera edit of the show and sent it to Disney-Central.
Waiting as patiently as I can for you to make the announcement that it is finished.

The pressure is now on for it to live up to your expectations! I've been a bit busy with rehearsals for the shows, but the end is in sight. Just the calls, encore and play out to do now.

It's ok. Take your time. I would rather wait and have it be as awesome as your FOLK than to have you rush through it just to appease me :p

With or without Tarzan, Enclosed or not enclosed, I just never understood the placement of the Theater in the Wild. It's a decent facility, but in such a HEAVILY themed park that includes incredible replicas of Africa, Asia, what appears to be a small authentic American dino excavation town and then..... Theater in the Wild just kind of.... Thrown in the middle of it all... Its just kind of strange to me.

I feel the same way about conservation station, and kind of the same way about Dino-rama, though that one can kind-of be justified.

Thanks for the compliments. Well, I have just finished editing the calls and Ron is delivering his "thanks for coming" speech. :D

I think you said so once before, but the male vocalist in your video is the brunette one? Or the blonde one?
Visually it jumps between more than one male vocalist, but for all the singing soundtrack I used one take with this chap:

I can not believe this show is closing. It is defintely my favorite show at WDW. It is just so different from anything else. I love the rock band and the three live singers. I really wish they had put out a soundtrack for the show...I would love one for my collection. And I LOVE the dancers....being a dancer myself it was always a dream of mine to perform in that show once I started to work for Disney. I will be so sad to see it go, but at least I'll get to see it one more time in August before it closes in September,

If this one is true, I guess I'd better make more trips to Disney before September. All the dancers, acrobats, rollerbladers, singers and musicians were so exciting to watch. No matter how many times I saw the show, they still put a smile on my face and made my heart beat faster. I will really miss the Two Worlds Band, especially the guitarist that always looked like he was having so much fun on stage, and who put so much extra into every song.

Now I'm really bummed, just thinking of missing the show...

I won't miss Tarzan all that much. I am more a fan of the actual story/show production. It will be nice to have another place to seek refuge from the heat.

Strange that they'd move it to HKDL. That park is already getting the Lion King show in Adventureland and it seems strange to have two giant theaters next to each other with big musical shows in each. Maybe they have data that has made them panic and start looking for quick fixes to the attraction shortage.

I'm not partial to the Tarzan show myself but then again I don't really go for the shows in general. While it's not something that I'd stop for, I do realize that it's well produced and something that's fairly unique among Disney shows. That in itself is reason for me to not applaud its removal like some here have. Even if I don't like Tarzan I know that it's Disney quality and a lot of people do enjoy it. As long as it's s__________g in people and keeping them out of the lines for the things I do want to see, more power to it. Besides I don't think we're in a position with DAK where we can start picking and choosing things to get removed or replaced - when the park is actually completed we can start getting picky.

The previous statement, however, does not cover the carny booths of DinoRama. If they were to bulldoze it tomorrow I'd pack my crowbar and come help for free.

Surely they won't bring back the original Jungle Book show? Sheesh.

As long as Tarzan is leaving, they really should start looking to somehow tie the area in with the theme of Dinoland. The placement of the theater has never made any sense. Adding Jungle Book wouldn't really help.

And to whomever was asking for some solid D-tickets, right on! That's what we really need at this point.

Oh man I never got a chance to see the show. Well, maybe it will be open THRU September, then I can see it on my next trip before it closes.
