I'm sure that is the place... and those are blades of grass. They may have had to order a very large lawnmower to get rid of that. As soon as it gets there, they will be gone.

Yes. I do wonder if they could open up the area between the Muppets Courtyard and the second set of facades. From what we have heard this path will reopen eventually so it seems like they could open this up for the next 2 years (at least) before they need to close it to get it ready to lead to SWL.

Actually they have demolished that entire side of the San Francisco street connected to the circled buildings which can be seen in more pictures they added to that blog Mickey article.Blog Mickey is reporting that the below section in blue has been demolished.

It's not just you. Even the store fronts never changed, I always enjoyed looking at the window displays.I thought I was the only one...
I loved little more at DHS than a slow walk up and down the SoA with a cup of coffee in hand. Yes, they were just façades. Everything else in WDW is too.

I loved the windows!It's not just you. Even the store fronts never changed, I always enjoyed looking at the window displays.
The streets added flavour and beauty to DHS. Performing much the same function as a stroll through WS in EPCOT.
To think that once all of this was just a set for one part of one ride!

Not completely. It was a set because they seriously were planning on making movies, in fact, one of the movies made there, The Lottery, I believe it was called with Bette Midler shows parts of the sets in it. Even the houses were used in movies to some degree.

Ill be interested to see where the bits and pieces salvaged from this demo end up. They ought to know by now what people will pay to own a piece of the park
Yes! Start selling this stuff and maybe then they don't have to always cut the budgets of what replaces it!

It seems like the Studios is going to need a new name because the whole thing is going to be radically different... like EpcotBlog Mickey is reporting that the below section in blue has been demolished.

It also makes me wonder if they really need Fantasmic with the new fireworks launch site going in... Tower of Terror in DCA is getting a makeover because it's right in the middle of a "future expansion" area, if Fantsamic in DHS is potentially "future expansion" area too, then the entire place will be something different than it is/was
I can imagine quite an uproar should this be announced. Especially with the original version receiving yet another overhaul.
