I agree with them doing a re do. This could be better. I like lilo and stitch, You dont see much about them anymore so this should be a keep.

If you are referring to the CAROUSEL of Progress, then you can just forget it. That ride is a true CLASSIC, it's got Walt's influence all over it and if it were to go you'd have a lot of upset folks. SGE is just a bad attraction, COP is an old attraction, but not bad.

Amen. CoP is an institution.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have any specs on the place? Is the space big enough for any other kind of attraction other than what's there? Maybe if they had to gut a gifshop or something, but is there enough space? I don't even know how big all that actually is.

Sorry, but I'm not a fan of bringing back old attractions. I would rather see something new and original, lest Magic Kingdom turns into a museum.

AE shouldn't come back just for "retro" sake. It should come back because it was truly an amazing, creative, and innovative attraction that should have never been replaced in the first place.

I'd rather have something original in there. Everything in MK is all based off of a cartoon or movie franchise (with some exceptions).

Those are sadly the days we now live in. Originality is all but dead from the Disney theme parks in the US. I'm so jealous of the Hong Kong additions that involve original storylines and ideas. I would be willing to say that MOST of the best attractions in WDW history were based off of original, park specific ideas. Maybe sometime in the next 50 years the pendulum will swing back towards park originality:shrug:

I guess that's part of what made AE so good. And the backstory. And the detail. And the fx. And the drama. Even if the actual alien AA wasn't brilliant.

We actually stood outside the exit to watch screaming laughing guests leave after each show. Such an emotional experience. And to think after that you could cross over to The Transportarium for From Time To Time. Another original and brilliantly executed cutting edge attraction.

Sad to think that area will never be as good again...

And Tim Curry - he was an awesome voice actor in that preshow.

I was trying to figure this out the other day, what was the precursor to Timekeeper?

What it needs more than anything in the short term is a good hot water pressure washing. If you would see it with the work lights on, it is disgusting. Water deposits/residue all over the place inside the theaters. In many places it looks like it hasn't been touched since they made the change-over to Stitch...or even before that. The pre show areas are only marginally better.

But yes, bring back AE or completely rethink the Stitch angle. It's still extremely scary for most younger children, thus not being the replacement they wanted for AE beyond being another way to sell Stitch mercy. The dark portions last too long, and they're too loud/involved to be very kid friendly.
