Ermegerd, guise!!! JT was right! They accelerated and are now less than 4 months behind DL!

I did hear they would actually prefer to open both lands at the same time FWIW. I personally think May 2019 will be a stretch but September could work.

You are assuming the construction is an apples to apples comparison when it isn't. The two different contractors are assembling things in different ways and with different methods in some cases (the hole foundation for example).

Its gonna be pretty cool to watch this go up this close. I wonder how long this view will be available, might cause a little congestion eventually.

If you look at DLs version there is no way to hide this. The only way would be to close this road and open the new entrance which seems to be a priority. Time will tell.

For some reason this has me way more excited than watching DL's SWL progress. Probably because it actually belongs in DHS.

I have actually been concerned the last couple weeks that the project at DHS could be delayed and possibly canceled. Not sure why but I was. No longer.

Best news this week in what has been an amazing week.

I won't believe it's happening until they install wire for electricity.
You might be in luck since that is what is called infrastructure and it is what they have been doing since they started, or at least the pipes are all in place and all they have to do is run the actual wires through them.

That's what I have been saying all along. If you watch the videos documenting the work at DLR, you will see that they are building literally from the ground up there. A lot of what they were doing this past winter was just getting massive electrical, water, and sewer systems extended out to the middle of nowhere. You can actually go back and watch them bury the main electrical switch box or whatever it's called (sorry, I'm not really well versed in electrical equipment), and the pipes that run it all around.

I certainly wouldn't bet on anything yet, but I know their goal must be to get them to open simultaneously. Or, at least create that perception. Perhaps DLR will actually soft open earlier, like Pandora did, only a few months instead of weeks. But I'm pretty confident that come hell or high water, they intend on publicizing a nation-wide release date. This is an absolutely golden opportunity for them to be able to market both resorts together, not to mention prevent massive guest confusion and disappointment.

If they don't hit May/the summer, I would think the next big target would be up and running in time for Thanksgiving 2019 and the holidays to follow. So, I think Nov 2019 is probably the absolute latest we'd possibly see barring some crazy unexpected delay.
