Star Tours II - Soft opening watch

Exactly. I'm all about being excited for a new attraction, but sharing info that has intentionally not been made public by snooping around doesn't sit right with me. I'm just saying...

Oh gosh you guys are funny.

Is he sneaking into back rooms, wearing a black catsuit and descending from the ceiling like Mission: Impossible?

Is he planting bugs on CM's clothing as they go in so he can track and follow their conversations?

Seriously. He's not "snooping", he's doing what many of us would love to do - and have done before, just not for days at a stretch.

Although there are a few CM's who seem annoyed with him (who seem to be FOTL, lower-tier with chips on their shoulders), there are some people a bit higher up who very much like him. And, he's not doing a dang thing wrong. If he was doing anything wrong, trespassing, etc., I'd be the first to say throw him out - but he's not, so saying he's "snooping" is just ridiculous when he's sitting on a bench in a theme park accessible to the public with valid tickets, which he presumably has.

Until he starts trespassing or breaking and entering, the ire is just laughable and sour grapes.

Once I know information that is able to be shared on this, I will let you all know. I will say that this is inaccurate...

Which part was inaccurate? The opening of the ride at park open? It wouldn't make sense to keep the ride closed until after the ceremony. Crowd control wise, I mean.

But I guess as an employee maybe you would know better than I would.

Once something official has been revealed that I am allowed to inform everyone about, I'll let you all know.

Let's just say security around Star Tours has tightened up a bit since he has been there.

LOL.

Hilarious. :)

Cause you know he's been out there threatening Ewoks. ;)

Like I said, a few low-level CM's are annoyed at him, but some higher up are VERY pleased - he's just adding to the hype machine.

If he truly were a security risk, he would be removed. He isn't, so he won't be - it's just some FOTL CM's who have a hair across their behind about it for some reason.

Are you this kid or what? Overly defensive of him.

Thrill Seeker probably knows better than you about the situation, seeing as he works at the attraction and all.

LOL Yes. I have been posing on this board for 7 or so years, just in waiting for Star Tours 2.

Please. :ROFLOL:

I"m not being "overly" defensive, but I see you and one or two other people sitting her trash talking him like he's doing something wrong, when in fact everyone but a couple of you loves it. We love that we get to hear constant updates (even if it's just 3-D glasses rolling by) and personally I love the kid because I wouldn't be going to the midnight event without his tweets.

I'm aware that poster I quoted "works at the attraction and all" which I pointed out. He's a FOTL CM who like a couple of others is annoyed at him, has a chip on their shoulder because they work on a ride at a theme park, and are making snide and pointed comments that are really unnecessary.

Basically, I see a few bullies that need to be put in line, like I would if I saw a couple of kids picking on another kid on the playground who can't defend himself (in this case, because he isn't here).

Yeah, not overly defensive at all....

ROFL.

If that's all you can come up with, my point is made.

Now, why don't you tell us why you are such an authority and are attacking him?

I think defending a kid is a nice thing to do when he isn't doing anything wrong, but who are you to be attacking him?

Defending someone is nothing to be ashamed of, attacking them, however, is.

You opened this can of worms - let's see you say something more substantial than veiled insults at me.

WOW AEfx you are SOOOOOOO rude. Seriously dude. Who do you think you are?!

Uh, people were being snotty for no reason to a kid who has been quite entertaining and helpful to many of us (and is quite friendly with the owner of this site), and I called them on it. I'd ask you the same question, as I think quite few people around here know who I am, but I've never seen you before, LOL. However, as Steve said, can we stay on topic?

I'm counting the days as we speak. Although the rumors of who will be attending the meet-up sound great, I'm mostly just so greatful that I can get on the dang ride for certain. This is a very quick trip for me (probably only going to stay max 3 nights) that I was going on anyway, and had no idea how long I'd be in the park on the 20th to make other plans that day and I still have to work in a trip to finally see Potter.

To be honest, I just might not even go to MGM that day unless I just can't stay away from trying to get another version, LOL. BTW, I love how the "passport" you can make and download has spaces to record your trips - it will be very cool when someone posts a matrix of all the different possible ride scenarios (I'd give it 3 days after the ride opens, LOL).

We will still be going on the 20th because we want to see the dedication ceremony, but I don't think we are even going to ATTEMPT to ride the ride again. The late night meet-up might just be the only time we ride it this trip.
