AEfx, your enthusiasm in this thread is awesome and cracking me up! I've been around these parts for a long time, more reading than posting, but I've never seen you so animated. I love it. Enjoy the preview night, I'm glad you and everyone else who got the email are getting the chance to go.

Are you going to let them talk or try to outwit each other with dumb jokes only vaguely related to the topic?
Just so's ya know, I do like your podcast, I just get frustrated when you guys get off topic and don't let someone finish a thought for sake of a "joke."
Back on topic, I'm curious as to whether or not the different destinations will be weighted differently. Also, how do they typically notify guests of a soft opening, if at all.

To answer your question, yes we let them talk. As to your criticism - it's one we've heard in the past. It's actually part of the format of the show. It's intended to be entertaining first and foremost. If you'd like a larger explanation, please don't hesitate to PM me.

Thanks for taking the criticism and the explanation you give. I guess my thoughts are this, and keep in mind that I totally think you guys should do the show the way you want, you guys get great guests, and you have good ideas, but they get sooooooo buried in the constant side tracks that it's hard to not get frustrated in listening, at least for me. There's no further need for explanation, as I'm sure you get just as many, if not more, people saying how much they love it.
It's just my $0.02.

Have we even heard from ANYONE that they have ridden it in Florida? We have seen reviews / comments from Cali, but none yet from Florida.

I think they are going to go to the wire on this. But it is not unheard of to not have soft openings till the week before. I know the CM previews start tomorrow, which should lead into soft openings next week. You have to remember, even though DL is have testing right now the one at DHS also closed a month and a half behind that one. Add to that the fact that out of the 4 DL has only one is fully show ready, where as DHS has 6 that need to be done in just about a week from now...yeah a soft opening might not happen and will be cutting it close when it opens.
The ride is still in the hands of WDI, so at the moment you wont be hearing anything.
All the bays should be ready.

With CM previews starting tomorrow we will definitely hear something soon. There are still CMs on Twitter insisting there will be no soft opening...

With the preview event scheduled at 12:01 (truly 5/20 and not 5/19) I would wondering if they have an agreement that the ride will not be experienced by the public before 5/20.

Doubt it, that event is as the meet up. Soft openings can happen at any time after of course the CM can work the attraction. When they did the soft opening for Sea w/Nemo they only had it open for a few hours at a time. Remember they want as many people through it as they can get before opening day, it helps them figure out any things that need to be fixed/changed.
So I just read through all of this thread and I saw somewhere that the Cast Preview has been confirmed on the Hub.. I've been looking on the Hub for the last 2 weeks, and I've searched as well, but haven't seen anything about the Cast Preview.. Can any other CM confirm the Cast Preview? I've heard that the Cast Preview won't be until after Star Tours reopens back up.

I was looking for it on the Hub as well, but could not find any info. One of my friends is on the opening cast for Star Tours & he said that they are the 13th & 14th, but nothing about times or anything. When I texted another friend with this info, he told me that they were 6-9pm. I won't be back till next week (I'm seasonal) & am hoping for a soft open cuz I work every day of sww & leave monday right away.
Yea.. I just picked up a shift on the Hub since I didn't get scheduled to work on the 21st. So I will definitely be riding this ride that weekend at some point lol... Well thanks for the info abou the cast preview.. I won't be back down until May 19th so I'll miss the cast preview.. o well..

Opening Team just assessed today, so we are able to operate the ride. No idea regarding soft openings. It's kinda a wait and see thing...

If CMs are now certified to run it, I guess soft openings could be any day.
Glad the ST2L team are cool, I'm looking forward to meeting them. And thanking them for giving me the heads up on the Meet-Up.
Are you gonna get to ride the ride tomorrow during the CM preview? Or will you be running it instead?
