Jason is indeed one of the writers on Star Tours 2.0.

Now, what I didn't know is they updated his book for Mansion's 40th. Did they add much? Anything on Mystic Manor?

I know that I'm stepping off topic, but can anyone tell me what "Mystic Manor" is? :veryconfu

ROTJ is far better than the prequels. The prequel trilogy was the complete inverse of Star Wars. The chief problems with the prequels are:

-CGI abuse
-Sloppy editing
-Really really horrible cringe worthy dialogue/acting in several scenes
-massive plot inconsistencies with the original trilogy
-Storyline was not coherent. It felt like each film was disconnected and Lucas came up with half an idea and just left it like that and the big highlight, The Clone Wars, isn't even depicted in the prequels at all! The end of Episode 2 shows that the War is about to begin and then Episode 3 opens and its like "ok gang we got count dooku the wars over!". Its just all over the place.

Compared to RotJ with a bunch of teddy bears fighting highly trained stormtroopers for the half of the movie? Most RotJ is filler except for the beginning and the final confrontation with Vader. Han and Leia really serve no other purpose than as weapon for Sidious to use against Luke (no real development from their characters except Leia is Force Sensitive).

I could care less about the Clone Wars after finding out what they were (just stormtroopers). The prequels should be about developing Anakin's character and setting him up for a fall. From early on in Episode I, we see that he is very vulnerable to fear, and that thread continues throughout all 3 prequels. Unfortunately, the actor was terrible, and there was not enough time dedicated in RotS to Anakin's transformation to the Dark Side. What I'm trying to say, not enough is shown for me to believe this whiney bloke is Darth Vader. I guess he was (over time) further corrupted and twisted by Sidious and haunted by the death of Padme.

Why is this such an issue for you? In the original film luke walks into a bar that has such patrons as a giant praying mantis, a wolfman, and a cheesy looking devil. In Empire, Luke gets trained by one of Jim Henson's muppets for half the film. ROTJ isn't filler the first act is rescuing han and the second and third act of the film is the final desperate struggle against the Emperor. The rebellion needed all the help it could get including the indingenous people of Endor which happened to look like "teddy bears".

Another words the prequels were poor movies

The real test will be how they are received by future generations who watch the movies in order and never see them as "prequels". That will be incredibly interesting to me.

Very true! For all we know, the prequals might be reguarded as classics in the future. You just never know.

The difference is also that the ESB and RotJ were directed by others as well as having screenplay written by others, not George Lucas. The prequals were all written and directed by George. Now I love Star Wars and the universe it exists in, but it is not (other than the 1977 original, due to its originality) movie classic material.

Anyway...here's to hoping we have great D23 announcements.

Now some people have cast this refurbishment aside as just that. My hope is that it would be akin to how Back to the Future was changed over to the Simpsons. If that's the case, than the scope is larger that what has been perceived on these (and other) boards.

I am blown away that Honor Hunter hasn't read this news yet and posted it on his site using "cryptic hints" to insinuate that Star Tours will be announced at D23.

Guess hes on vacation

EDIT: Lmao I just went and checked. Sure enough.
