Star Tours 2: Official confirmation - kinda

I've already posted it but will again.

Eddie Sotto told us less than 1 in 5 guests to the MK experience Space. I believe the project was scaled back and those funds are being used to benefit more guests elsewhere in the MK. Perhaps a new Fantasyland or the over the top Jungle Cruise enhancements that are rumored. Or both

Time will tell.

That's exactly the mentality that is wrong with TDO. Show Protocol needs to be maintained. Show > Efficiency. Despite the numbers, SM or ANYTHING that "only recieves" or "only placates" a number of guests should still be kept in good and NEW condition.

They still only have so much much money especially nowadays. So it's more a factor of getting the most for their money. SM may have been required because of reliability and safety issues. And obviously SM will be much better than it was. How could it not be?

Can't be any worse!:lol: But honestly, it should be head and shoulders above the old one. Will it be? I doubt it, but like you say, we shall see...

I really can't wait to hear your defense of the new and not improved Space Mountain, jt. It should be one for the ages.

Im still waiting for his defense of the haphazardly redone spaceship earth which was opened a year AFTER the fluke HM refurb.

How's that new descent comin' boys?

OK, I'll say it again. When Iger and Co. took over their priorities (probably a word many people need to get familiar with) were fixing DCA, Feature Animation, and other aspects of the company. There was no way to do everything that needed to be done all at once, that is obvious. Not and maintain quality.

Now DCA is largely finished conceptually, animation is turning around and the PotC movie business model is spreading through the live action studios. For example JCoM, 20K and other features. Pixar has been maintained at it's high standards and the final chapter of Toy Story will be a monster :D hit.

"But what about WDW:cry::cry::cry:", you ask.

It's obvious to me, the budget has largely been dedicated to infrastructure on property because so much had been neglected for a long time. The WDC's priority was to get ahead of the curve for on property accomadations and that point is close to being reached with the exception of PC's final phase which seems to be getting close.

So all that is left is to invest in the parks to bring in the crowds to fill the new expanded resorts at non-discounted rates. And they probably will not have to worry about putting up the "no vacancy" sign, because they now have enough capacity in the resorts.

And if there is a number 1 rule, it's to keep guests on property and not having to tell them there are no rooms for the dates they want to visit.

Class dismissed.

PS- This is my opinion so it can't be wrong. Right? :drevil:

Jt as you have stated many times, you know no facts, you just post opinions. Thats what the net allows, even if it does permit all sorts of crap to be posted.

Fan boy hypothesising to your extent however is pushing the envelope of what classes as normal and rational.

And a lot of the time, good show equals efficiency especially in the long term. :)

1 in 5 guests experience MK? Really? You wouldn't have known it from the amazing lines that are there every single trip I've taken.

No, the claim is 1 in 5 guests experince Space Mountain.

I believe that statistic is hogwash or it comes from a very old spreadsheet when the attraction & guest makeup was alot different.

They picked an interesting time to announce it especially since the science fiction genre is enjoying a major revial thanks to the films Star Trek, District 9, Moon, Avatar and next year's Tron 2.

This decade was predominatly dominated by the fantasy genre with the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter headlining. On top of that the SW prequels blew which didn't help the cause at all .

I can see how some people didn't care for the first two, although I enjoyed them quite a bit, but I thought that Revenge of the Sith was just as good as the original films. They are also having a good deal of success with the new Clone Wars series which will probably draw more younger guests to the revamped Star Tours looking to see some of the worlds they're familiar with from that. So, I think that there may be some kind of reference to some of the prequel era worlds because of that.

Your avatar is a giant inflatable pig.

Eddie Sotto is the source. And if you were not just a troll you would know that.

This is an incorrect opinion. Usually opinions are a matter of opinion, but sometimes they can be flat out wrong. This happens to be one of those cases.:D:wave:
Oh, I see. YOU deny the impact they had on movies and pop culture, huh? Clearly you just don't like Star Wars. :D
