What's up with the Heat? I was just curious if anyone else is breaking records.:ROFLOL:
I love the heat & summer but I don't think I remember it being this warm in early June before. (not recently anyway) It was so hot yesterday our outside kitty was panting like a dog, bless her heart. I put her in the garage with the air on to cool her down. Our AC also went into shutdown yesterday (we have it set so that it can be during peak times) it has never done that until late July-August.
It has been in the mid 90s everyday but the heat index is 105 I think the weather said this morning with no end in sight. Today & tomorrow are supposed to be even hotter.
The lawn is toast, totally burnt brown! My garden is loving it as long as we make sure to run the sprinklers every evening after the sun goes down.

If I had a Dole Whip ... I could go outside sit in the sun trying to eat it before it melts with my Disney Music and eyes closed I would swear I was in WDW in early September!

The past few years we have gone straight into summer. High 70's today and then HHH tomorrow and near 100 for the next couple of days. We have no central air, just a small window unit in the bedroom (cools both bedrooms) so thats where I will be living.

Hot as heck in S. Fla.

But it always is.

I so envy you in the winter. I hate cold weather!! If I cannot wear Flip-flops I am not happy.

I don't blame you! The bad thing about central air is that you get so used to it when you walk outside you melt!
What is here must be heading to you. We have been in the 80s for awhile, which has been beautiful. I still like the heat but WOW it is so early for upper 90s and 100s. I checked our temp in the shade and it is 96 right now if it is right.
One thing though I will be used to the heat for our trip in a few months.:ROFLOL:

Low 90s for the fourth day in a row here in north GA. Not my cup of tea, but at least we haven't hit triple digits like some people.

Not to mention the florida type storms that have been hitting us lately. I believe there was a tornado the other day in Waldorf.

I wish my yard was brown and dead. That way I wouldn't have to mess with mowing it. But not only have we been having lots of heat and humidity, but when it isn't really hot, it's been raining. And my yard is a jungle right now because of all the rain, and with my work schedule, the days that I could mow are days that it's either raining, or to wet from the rain a day or so before. Honestly, I don't know why people run lawn sprinklers. I'd much rather my grass wilt away and die, then I don't have to mess with mowing. It's not like I'm putting my yard up in a magazine shoot or something. But ya, like I said, it's been extremely hot here in Central Illinois. I would like to have more opportunities to sit outside in our swing, but it's just too hot and humid!

we hit a record here in NH today... 94-98 for highs, normally like 70-75 right now. Way too humid, I was just out on my porch at midnight, and I felt like I was in Disney! haha!
