Does “Mother Knows Best” count?I think it may even have been the last villain song full stop.

Because he has the best villain song in a 30 year period, going back to "Be Prepared" through today, and counting.
I meant the last before "Friends on the Other Side"!Does “Mother Knows Best” count?
"Somehow, Facilier returned."As such, Facilier is dead by this point.
Ooohhhh!! Yes, I think you’re right. I can’t think of anything off the top of my head.I meant the last before "Friends on the Other Side"!
Now we're really getting off topic but Meredith Inglesby guest starred as Mother Gothel on the Magic last year and she also did a couple of sets in Fathoms that gave me feelings.Does “Mother Knows Best” count?
Blasphemy! Ursula and her song are unmatchable. But Friends on the Other Side is about as good as Poor Unfortunate Souls
Splash Mountain is itself a book-report ride.
I think the reason is they didn't want to show Tiana as a frog for most of the ride.
I do hope Facilier puts in an appearance from beyond the grave. The ride needs a moment of drama and tension.

My guilty secret: I have a crush on Gaston.I actually think Gaston is the best villain song period, but it's also in a bit of a grey zone because while he sings in it, A. he's not really a typical Disney villain and B. it's not about doing villainous things in the context of the plot. It's literally just a song about him in general.
Agreed.I mean, since the reference material is so far removed from most public awareness, I doubt the majority would see current Splash as a book-report ride (I certainly have never).
It's a 12-minute ride, they wouldn't need to linger on the frog parts. All the banger songs are in the beginning anyways. But if Disney switched over to a book-report of PATF, it would be very much noticed, and very much criticized.
I think it would be criticised only because of the frog issue. The idea that book-report rides in general are bad is a relatively new one that I don't think exists outside certain hardcore fan circles. But if Disney switched over to a book-report of PATF, it would be very much noticed, and very much criticized.
Nightmare is SUPER niche. It has a dedicated core of fans but casuals aren't into it and would have no idea who "Oogie Boogie" is.I don’t know, Be Prepared is about fratricide, not many other villains could sing a song about murder with the audience boping along to it in a kids movie. That one has to be #1, and Oogies song is probably #2.
Oogie BoogieWhenever Disney goes full on evil witch/wizard they make their best and most iconic villains, and there are 5 who stand out:
-Evil Queen
-Malnificent
-Ursula
-Jafar
-Dr Faciller
Yes there are other great villains (Cruella, Frollo, Gaeston, etc) but when you hear Disney Villain your mind tends to dwell on these 5.
"Bumpy" and "Unreliable" are very different complaints.Given I've ridden it pre and post 2015, I can only say that the change to projections from wall movement didn't result in any noticeable difference in the ride. Still one of the bumpiest rides at DL.
