Going to see Man of Steel tonight. For once Walmart is good for something with their 7pm showing tonight. Don't have to wait until midnight.

I haven't been this excited to see a movie in a long time. There are a few things that have stuck with me from my childhood, Star Wars, The Muppets, Batman and Superman. I remember seeing the original in the theater and I remember being so dissapointed with Superman Returns. I have been waiting for a modern day Superman, one that takes into account the modern version of Superman, which is basically a god walks among us and what it would be like if he appeared in this day and age, I really hope they pulled it off. I like Zach Snyder. I was one of the few who liked Sucker Punch, unlike that poc Michael Bay, Zach can pull off amazing and coherent action sequences and is pretty good filmmaker when he has a great script.

So Superman means alot to me. I haven't been this excited to see a movie since Star Wars Episode I and we remember how that went. Hopefully, this will be alot better.
I was considering buying a Walmart ticket, but it would probably be too crowded with all the fans.

Any good stories you've heard about the festivities that you'd like to share? I have to assume there was a huge turnout.
70+ close friends and cohorts throughout his career were a part of the gathering that evening, hosted by Leonard Maltin.
Overall general vibe is that it was a rather spectacular send off by all measures.

Our own Eddie Sotto was invited but was not able to make it due to a scheduling conflict.
He graciously notes in his own thread that folks invited were asked to send stories and photos of themselves with Tony for a grand career-spanning timeline that was to be displayed.

Sounds like a great send off.
When i heard about this event happening, it really made me smile.

I am sure Spirit will have more to tell then I .

Can you just imagine what some of the stories consisted of that were sent in by his co-workers/friends..?
Another book to be written, right there!

I was really excited for Star Trek The Motion Picture. For most Trekkies, that was a bigger letdown than Phantom Menace. At least you knew two more Star Wars were going to follow regardless and Menace didn't have whinny teenage Anakin Skywalker.;)

After the disaster known as STTMP, I thought Star Trek was dead.

I don't like them getting rid of muppets or even te playground! The muppets have always been a staple in the park! As for the playground, they should keep it and retheme it to a bugs life! Especially is a cars ride is sitting right across from it???

They need to get rid of Indiana jones and American idol and just retheme that whole area of the park into immersive Star Wars planets! I remember the guest survey I took for a star wars land and it asked if we wanted 2 or 3 themed planet areas.

My dream for Star Wars land if it comes true would be the mos eisley cantina restaurant added, replace American idol with Jedi training, a dark ride using that new plane tech where the "planes" so to speak are xwing themed, and the speeder bike coaster using the vekoma motor bike system!

I've never seen an episode and I know how it ended. It was everywhere the week it aired. They were discussing it openly on the radio. How'd you avoid it for so long? I need to know your spoiler-avoiding secrets.

LOL it wasn't easy!! But not having HBO for the first four years it was on certainly helped. After that I was too engrossed with Fringe and House to notice that I was missing something.

I avoid spoilers for Once Upon A Time by not looking at anything that has the name in the title. Not easy to do... but for the most part it can be done.

I've already known how the Sopranos and Lost ended well before I watched either. Only watched Lost last year :) haha. I love Netflix and HBO Go. Makes this "no cable" thing so much more awesome.

It would make sense to close it since DCA's is rumored to close for Monsters Inc Coaster.

The difference is that Muppet Vision never fit into DCA.
Plus, this.
