The Epcot Manifesto
I see the rumor showing up in a few places tonight as well. Probably all sourced from the same place, but I saw one reference theforce.net as well.
Very interesting...

From their article...

"Expect to see new levels added to Star Tours and some more interactive attractions, possibly an additional ride," my Disney source said. However, my source added that "most of the expansion will be environments and character meet-and-greet areas."

I'm not up on every different website out there, but how reliable is this one? Are they just throwing something out there which is just a bunch of rumors or are they a reputable source with real inside info?

Its what's called "The Echo Chamber" effect.

Basically the same rumor or bad information just keep bouncing around and people treating it as if its gospel.

Until we get someone with @Lee's reputation, then there's no need to keep feeding it beyond saying "its a rumor but nothing solid."

Steering this onto DHS, Theme Park Insider just posted an article about it, saying that Carsland and Star Wars land are coming:

I'd really like that to be true. But I'm horribly skeptical.

After the success of SWW and how packed that place was EVERY DAY, I'd say the attendance and merch numbers alone justify a star wars expansion. But until paperwork is signed, bulldosers start and someone bullseyes a womp-rat, I'll believe it when I see it.

Tony was in FL last week.

Yep. Heard that. But he spent a lot of time UP I-4 at UNI. ... I wish the man would put his Disney fanboi pride to the side and take up with 'the competition' but it will never happen.

Brave did not make back its cost (although it earned out on worldwide merch), and there's a good bit of nervousness internally over Monsters too. Pixar's golden days seem to have hit a bit of a bump, although they are still worlds better than most of what gets made.

Agreed. Pixar hasn't put out a bad film yet. Not even Cars 2. ... I think Monsters U will do much better than Brave, but that's because it's a sequel of a very popular film.

As to Marvel, I know you didn't discuss them here but ..., I heard today that it is very unlikely that we'll see a third Thor or Captain America film regardless of how the sequels perform. Disney doesn't like the costs and would rather focus on The Avengers (even without RDJ) and all these unknown characters that they believe can be mined (I don't agree!)

I like the Sopranos ending. Simple on the surface, but complex when you look closer at how it was set up and what it meant.

I'm actually glad it got to have an ending.
HBO didn't extend the same courtesy to the AMAZING Deadwood.

Movies...
Saw This Is The End last night.
It was rude, gross, profane, obscene and absolutely hilarious. More laughs in any 10min stretch than the entire Hangover 3.

I hope you are right about This Is The End ...it seems to have potential, but I've heard mixed things.

As to Sopranos, I didn't care because I wasn't a regular viewer. But I still think the ending was incredibly weak ... it was the creatives thinking they couldn't come up with a suitable ending, so they wouldn't ... they'd let people decide for themselves. Weak.

I too ate at BOG last week AND stayed at the sister resort the Yacht Club, and I share your sentiments. YC merchandise had exactly 1 resort specific clothing item for men...a basic polo with Yacht Club embroidered on it. I went by BC gift shop as well, and as limited as the offerings were, they still had more than YC. Similar thoughts on BOG as well. Obviously it is priced for the experience rather than the quality of food, but I thought the meal was more than adequate. You just have to determine if the atmosphere is worth the cost, and for us it was...one time.

I'll just say that BoG is terribly overrated, much of it coming from Disney Lifestylers/social media. The room is loud and not greatly detailed. You don't have a table cloth. The food is mediocre. The prices are ridiculous. And the service I experienced was downright awful. The Mommy Blogging Brigade can have it.

On the merchandise front, Disney has added some back at 'some' resorts. But it isn't like the 70s, 80s and 90s when every resort had a line of specific merchandise. I believe this was a case of DVCers (largely) and Disney capitulating in a half-assed fashion. ... A resort the alleged caliber of the YC should have more than one item for men. And an item that likely won't sell much and will wind up at outlet stores and then they'll have none. And they'll justify the decision to not have any based on the poor sales of the one item that they had.

Ah, so Niles has decided he wants attention by jumping on the story after months of it being discussed by others? And he doesn't say a word about what attractions would actually come to a Studios Extreme Makeover?
So, he basically says nothing beyond 'Cars Land' and 'Star Wars Land?

Nothing at all.

Did I miss something? Or are we in the two-month buildup to D23 and he wants some attention?
