Besides what is TDO going to build

1 - Another Concrete Tree to drop parts on unsuspecting guests
2 - Floating boulders (big concrete rocks on chains - these will be able to take out an entire tour group
3 - Fake glowing plants (think lucite with hidden light sources)
4 - Star Tours derived motion sim
5 - Meet N Grope
6 - Merch
7 - Oh I forgot budget cuts - so the tree will be papier-mache and the plants will be painted cardboard

People will probably just call it Pandora, just like other ride names have been modified/shortened.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh - Winnie the Pooh
Pirates of the Caribbean - Pirates
Under the Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid - the Little Mermaid ride
Agreed, but...

All Disney promotion and marketing material will have to use the full, awkward name.

Also, there are two prime identifiers in the name, so I think half will call it Avatar and half will call it Pandora. Not a big deal, but there will be some confusion I bet; and when thinking up a name, confusion is usually something you try to avoid.

Disney has always been a stickler for proper nomenclature.

Lazyboy is correct. WDI has the tightest confidentiality and exclusivity clauses in the amusement park industry. Their suppliers aren't even allowed to mention themself they supplied a ride. It has to be a "designed by Walt Disney Imagineering". So, unless it was a production model that was shown to WDI at IAAPA Expo (the largest trade show for amusement parks... held in november every year in Orlando right now) or a proposal from Vekoma as a response to an open request from WDI, Vekoma could have never sold another one outside of Disney.

Six Flags is the one that bought that Vekoma model that was installed on that lake. It opened only 8 months after the original Rock n Roller Coaster at WDW. It was built at what is now "Walibi Holland".

Edit... Crush Coaster at Disney Studio Paris is an off the shelf "Spinning Coaster 2000" from Maurer-Sohne, creators of Rip Ride Rockit at Universal. The coaster portion is a production model and Maurer did a custom station, extra lift hill and gravity driven dark ride portion.

Soooo, not really off the shelf.

James Cameron's Pandora: The World of AVATAR inspired by James Cameron's AVATAR, AVATAR 2, AVATAR 3, and AVATAR 4 featuring the Creative Talents of James Cameron, Walt Disney Imagineering and James Cameron has a nice ring to it.

Isn't it supposed to have the word "Adventure" in there somewhere?

It is an interesting distinction. RCDB calls the Barnstormer a custom coaster, but also has this to say.

"Facts: The Barnstormer is essentially a mirror image of a standard Vekoma Junior Coaster 207m. The Barnstormer uses a chain lift versus the tire drive used on the standard version. In addition, the Barnstormer has a transfer track to accommodate two trains."

No, it would be this:

James Cameron Pandora: A World Inspired from the AVATAR Franchise.

No possessives are allowed! Otherwise yeah pretty accurate but they may say franchise because they love leveraging them.

How many Vekoma juniors are there in Orlando at this point?

Looking at the list for 207m coasters on RCDB, the only other one is Woody Woodpecker's Nuthouse Coaster at Universal Studios Florida. Shamu Express is apparently a Zierer coaster.

Flight of the Hippogryph at IOA is a 335 meters junior Vekoma Coaster. Legoland Florida Dragon also started its life as a 335 meters junior Vekoma Coaster. When Legoland took over the old Cypress Gardens, they moved the coaster and added a new station and dark ride portion to it.

She really is te only person from that show to actually get famous. That Jicinda (sp) chick did some stuff but Jamie has been in a ton of movies and tv! Good for her! I loved her on real world and love her on Once...
