Speculation on the SOA and LMA piece of land at Hollywood Studios

I would love to walk through Toy Story Playland, approach a large door and walk into a Monsters themed area with the door coaster and a Monsters University meet and greet. Then I would like to proceed into Carsland hop aboard the Radiator Springs Racers and round the corner to an Incredibles themed attraction. I'd like to watch Luxo the lamp put on a little show, then join Bing Bong on his rainbow powered singalong wagon for an Inside Out attraction. After all this, go on a Wall-e dark ride, and an UP! themed parachute drop, and finish out the day with Ratatouille: L'Adventure. Maybe throw in Crush's coaster, and a Brave dark ride. (this could also go in the UK pavillion in Epcot)

Now that's what I call a PIXAR PLACE. You want traffice out of Magic Kingdom? YOU GIVE THE PEOPLE A WHOLE DAY ELSEWHERE.
Sadly, I am not Nicole Disney, so back to speculating with the rest of you!

Disney can really blow this thing outta the park (outta Magic Kingdom, bah dum cha!) if they do it right.

Keeping the faith.

I hope Carsland doesn't come to Orlando. I rode it in DCA, and the rockwork is really what makes this attraction special. The indoor part wasn't that special to me. So a Florida version with only the indoor part would be very unappealing to me.

All I want is Carsland. I want an outdoor version with all the rock work, the whole cadillac range! The issue I see now though is that they have the outdoor in the elements slinky dog coaster in Toy Story Land which is going to close every time there is lightning in the area so now if they do the outdoor version, that will also be closed during a storm.

Thanks all who answered my question. It really sucks that they cannot use Marvel, especially in lieu of all the success with the movies.
There is no need to use Marvel IP in WDW. They have more than enough IP to double the parks and a quality attraction does not even need to use IP. They could actually do something original. They can use Marvel everywhere else on the globe so it is not an issue for them.

I really think a that that should add a Cars Land. I think they should put in a Radiator Springs Racer but complete different and 2 others semi big attractions. I think they should put them in but with all the rides at DCA but complete different

Personally I think they can use the infrastructure from Cars Land to create Monstropolis. I just think it would be cool to not replicate everything. But you can build Monsters, Inc instead of Radiator Springs and have the door coaster or something similar there. Then all the other small attractions can just be themed for Monsters. The streets could even tie in to that. (I'd hate for the streets to go away just because of Osborne Lights).

You could put the door coaster/E-ticket in the Monsters, Inc. building. Solves the problem with outdoor rides, plus makes thematic sense.

I know, but still. I don't want to have to leave the property to enjoy something I like. It's a small issue though. Like you said, they IP Disney has is vast and I believe that it'll use it to the best of its ability now.

There just isn't any other park that could make Monstropolis looks so good. You have the street facades already and they just are there all year long waiting to decorate for Osborne. Just think about having monsters in the windows or animatronic monsters on the tops of the steps. Even better would also be having random monsters just walking to "work" down the streets. Come on, Disney!

With all of this Cars Land talk, I'm not to sure Florida's climate is the best for Radiator Springs. I'm pretty sure that RSR has to close every time that it rains, just like Test Track. Well, in DCA, that's not a problem, as it really doesn't rain all that often in Southern CA. But in Florida, it rains rather frequently, so a ride like RSR isn't the most feasible. However, I still see them putting it in anyways, despite the climate issues.

Not that a version of Cars Land in DHS would bother me at this point, but since WDI has been sent to the drawing board and told to come back with more original content (it seems that this was done for Toy Story Land), I am hoping that line of thinking continues. If Cars Land stays unique to Disneyland, then I say go for a Monsters themed land and bring back the Door Coaster for our E-ticket experience. They could also add a Harryhausen restaurant for a more upscale dining experience in the park. If this park gets as popular as it might now that Star Wars will be there, they will need to add some more varied dining experiences.

That's the thing. You could have a good version of Monstropolis set up relatively quickly. After the Osborne Lights come down in January, you shut down the SoA to re-theme the flats. You put Laugh Floor in the Premiere theater, you change Mama Melrose to Harry Hausen's (as a Sushi/Asian food establishment) and then re-open. Then longer term you can use the HISTK area (or the former Backlot Tour entrance, etc.) as a place to put in a dark ride, whether it be the door coaster or a calmer ride like Ride and Go Seek.

I mean, if Disney is keen on re-using infrastructure to save costs and reduce built times, this seems like a no brainer.

I would love to see Disney use the new ride system for Shanghai Disneyland's Pirates attraction somewhere in the DHS expansion, but with a different theme of course.
