That first pic gives me hope. That faded blue they're painting over is the same blue thats currently on the side of SM. If they're painting the back of the Arcade that new color, hopefully SM is next. :lookaroun

Thanks for the new pics!

I got video of the track, but since I took it on my phone the upload to YouTube is being slow!!!!

What they need to do is get rid of the metallic palm trees. They look they belong on the Vegas strip.

I always thought they looked like they belong in a Sonic the Hedgehog game (and if you consider the link between Sega, Innoventions '94 and Tomorrowland '94......hmm...subliminal advertising?)

I love the pics. alot has been done in the two weeks since i have been there. i also pulled out my pics of inside sm, and the black screen, fire vents were no where to be seen. And i have all the pictures that were possible to take. all that was there before was what looked like a black patch with dirty ceiling all around it, so who knows what it could be?

I find this new color scheme interesting. I think I kinda like it. Although, I do have to admit at first glance I did immediately think of Buzz. However, maybe it will be nice to see a "cohesiveness" to TL that we haven't seen in quite sometime. Just a thought!

I finally got round to some video grabs from last Friday (the dark day in history when I heard the new TTA spiel)

Things of note; a second square on the penthouse roof, the same size as the new hole but only as deep as the ceiling tile void; another smoke extraction system or something unrelated? Or is this area still to receive new tiles?

The new pose of the astronauts

The lift hill; note the Explorer jets are colour changing from aqua to purple

The new work lights in the TTA entry tunnel - in addition to the old downlights

The penthouse ceiling with new hole and new gap

Old SM sign still in TTA tunnel

^^^So the square black box on the ceiling in your fifth pic there, and that I posted pics of earlier, is part of this smoke extraction system?

It appears to be as someone said earlier. A bit big IMHO for such a system but a possibility. By `box` it is actually a hole in the tiled roof, with a void extending up to what seems to be the true roof of the Penthouse floor level.

Are you talking about the big, square black box, or the big, square hole?

The smoke evac would make sense, even though its a disapointing thought. It depends on how they classify the structure, if they are classifying it as some sort of atrium then it would require a smoke evac system, since they are doing a refurb, they would've been forced to bring this structure up to code. I'm just speculating based on experience in HVAC. If it is an evac system, there would need to be some large, very large fans either in the building or exterior of the building. Not that disney would let you see them.
