That literally makes no sense. They are doing it cause it's a fun thing to do. They would be fine running SOTW while the park looks nothing like the finale until they filmed a new part.

It “literally” makes perfect sense. It’s a perfect time to update it. Why do people always have to add “literally”to a phrase like that?

Just got on. 60 minute wait, 45 actual.

Rode around the world this past Sunday, and Over California is just so much better. I had ridden Over California back in March at DCA during their own limited run, but without an immediate baseline comparison it’s much harder to compare.

Over California knows what it is and doesn’t rely or waste time on gimmicks or CGI to sell the experience.

Really solid attraction and and overall better experience.

I might have preferred sewing around the world had it not been for its bad CGI and the fact that if you don't want it from front center you get a very slanted view from sections / gates A and C. Most especially the Eiffel Tower looks horrendously bad to the point of ruining all illusions of flight.

Nahhhhh in person it's not nearly as bad as the Eiffel Tower.

Also, not on a hang glider and not in 5 minutes but you could actually soar over all of the CA locations on a scenic flight within the day depicted. For "around the world" not so much, even if you had access to a private jet.

One of the best parts of this returning is also the return of the load/unload music loop. *bliss*

I just hope Disney realizes with all this positive commentary every time the original is brought back that they should just keep SOC permanently and axe Around the World. Sometimes replacing things as an "update" isn't best.

Yes, there's a wooden marquee out front with a sign hanging underneath that says what version is running.

For everyone who thought the Cali version was SO bad…this afternoon, the average wait times were 45 minutes…when is the last time SatW was that busy??
