I'm guessing until the End of 2023 at least since there's a Disney100 Logo now on Soarin's Sign.

Also, the BEST finale in Soarin's History is back!!!!!! I'm Sorry but what's better than Soaring over A Christmas Fantasy Parade and Believe In Holiday Magic?!?!?!?

Definitely nothing wrong with them showing Christmas time at Disneyland but I think it Might have been better for them to have shown Main Street Electrical Parade. But the parade wasn’t running at least at Disneyland park when they filmed Soarin Over California.

Does anyone have a clue as to how long the "limited" time will be? I really want to ride the original but I don't think I can get up to WDW for several weeks.

That's my assumption too, that it sticks around through the end of the year, but I wouldn't be shocked if gets exchanged out around the time of the Festival of the Holidays starting.

I'm also hoping that they are updating the ending of Soarin' around the World with the new look at Epcot but it's hard to think they would put extra money into that film without re-doing it completely. If they go that route, Soarin' Over California will definitely live in to early 2024.

They could have done PTN at DL for Soaring Around The World.

MSEP was at DCA as DEP in Summer 2001, Was Soarin open before that? if not, they should have flown over DCA with DEP!

Speaking of scenes, theres litterally nothing stopping them slotting in a bunch of digitally created ones, we're at the point where the average guest genuinely could not tell if they're looking at a real helecopter shot of MK or a CGI one...unless its done on the cheap like some of the shots in around the world.

Maybe Soarin' needs the Star Tours treatment - randomise it so theres a bunch of locations all over the world and it randomises them for each showing.
(Still prefer SoC over SatW tho!)

Even if they just update the finale my guess is Soarin Over California will last until early next year because they can’t even film at Epcot until all the construction is done.

I think randomizing the scenes would hurt the pacing with the score even more than it already got hurt going from CA to The World. A big part of what made Soarin' over CA so great was how well the score fit with the camera shots.

I prefer Soarin of the World. As long as the California version is limited i'm okay with it coming back.
I might have preferred sewing around the world had it not been for its bad CGI and the fact that if you don't want it from front center you get a very slanted view from sections / gates A and C. Most especially the Eiffel Tower looks horrendously bad to the point of ruining all illusions of flight.

I assume they are doing this so they have time to reshoot the Epcot ending to remove Innoventions West so they can include the new water faucet experience.

Not just the bad CGI, but the transitions don't work nearly as well either in my opinion. The new one feels like looking at CGI scenes in a viewfinder.

That literally makes no sense. They are doing it cause it's a fun thing to do. They would be fine running SOTW while the park looks nothing like the finale until they filmed a new part.
Epcot's new look shouldn't matter. In SOTW, it quickly goes out to the Parking lot with Fireworks. Why TDO didn't want the whole Epcot with ROE in WSL, IDK...

Also, not on a hang glider and not in 5 minutes but you could actually soar over all of the CA locations on a scenic flight within the day depicted. For "around the world" not so much, even if you had access to a private jet.

What's all this talk of re-filming? Pffft. They can just CGI in all the things they want to include. I'm sure it will look fine.

This is good news for Soarin' fans like me. I like both versions. Distortions were never noticed in the version over California. I'll join the chorus of those who'd like to see both versions stick around.
