still hearing "rumors" of a "possible" opening with the old film memorial day weekend... anyone else hearing this?
Even if they don't require yesterday's clean room, self sustaining environment, I cannot imagine the requirements aren't still quite substantial.I confess I'm not at speed with these. What optics are involved?

Love the fact that they'll be going to different scenes around the world, but do NOT like that they're also redoing the score for the ride. They should have left well enough alone.
ive always wanted to see a movie in 70mm! how does it compare with imax?
IMAX film is a 70mm format.

OTPN says the old film may debut May 27th.

I also heard from a separate source that's it's likely to open then.Yes. This is from April 21:
That would be nice. Epcot in early June is not looking to be much of a park as far as rides go at the moment.I also heard from a separate source that's it's likely to open then.
I don't know who told you that... Because I have been to that room. And that's not the case...I hope so. The Epcot projection room broke IMAX house rules by not being environmentally self supporting.
Someone who's been in that room. It was a cleanish room but not a clean room.I don't know who told you that... Because I have been to that room. And that's not the case...
Listened to Bruce Broughton's score for The Boy Who Could Fly, which certainly has a nice "Soarin'" quality about it. Seems like the perfect composer for the new music.
And if snippets are appearing from Shanghai's soft opening, it can only be a matter of time until all of our questions have been answered.
First Soarin' Over The Horizon soft opening day at Shanghai Disneyland. Looks like composer Bruce Broughton used many cues from the original soundrack by Jerry Goldsmith. The North Pole sequence in this video.

I wonder if they added water effects to spray you when the whale hits?
And cold air would be nice. Same with the new Frozen E-Ticket.

But the guests don't mind. Besides, the cold never bothered them anyway.Like Disney rides aren't already freezing inside
Wow! That looks beautiful! Can't wait to ride it next spring.First Soarin' Over The Horizon soft opening day at Shanghai Disneyland. Looks like composer Bruce Broughton used many cues from the original soundrack by Jerry Goldsmith. The North Pole sequence in this video.

Granted the room isn't that clean. The film however was protected in some sort of weather controlled capsule.Someone who's been in that room. It was a cleanish room but not a clean room.
Hey now, Frozen IS an E ticket................in Japan only. Tough luck for Florida though.
They definitely aren't, they're actually way too hot in recent years because Disney doesn't want to pay for proper air conditioning.Like Disney rides aren't already freezing inside
