Love the fact that they'll be going to different scenes around the world, but do NOT like that they're also redoing the score for the ride. They should have left well enough alone.

The music was created to fit the rhythm of the scenes in the original movie, so it cannot be used as-is. We have heard that the new music will be inspired by the existing music and they have a very competent composer doing the work who has a long history with Disney, so I am optimistic we will get a good score.

ive always wanted to see a movie in 70mm! how does it compare with imax?

IMAX film is a 70mm format.

It is, but IMAX 15/70 film stock is also different than standard 70mm in that the frames are laid out horizontally and played as such, rather than vertically. This means that IMAX film has an even larger image area than other 70mm formats, and takes up even more feet of film for every second of footage. IMAX is 70mm, but not all 70mm is IMAX.

Listened to Bruce Broughton's score for The Boy Who Could Fly, which certainly has a nice "Soarin'" quality about it. Seems like the perfect composer for the new music.

And if snippets are appearing from Shanghai's soft opening, it can only be a matter of time until all of our questions have been answered.

Excited to hear it!! The original themes are already back in those snippets

And cold air would be nice. Same with the new Frozen E-Ticket.

Like Disney rides aren't already freezing inside
But the guests don't mind. Besides, the cold never bothered them anyway.

First Soarin' Over The Horizon soft opening day at Shanghai Disneyland. Looks like composer Bruce Broughton used many cues from the original soundrack by Jerry Goldsmith. The North Pole sequence in this video.

Hey now, Frozen IS an E ticket................in Japan only. Tough luck for Florida though. :p

They definitely aren't, they're actually way too hot in recent years because Disney doesn't want to pay for proper air conditioning.

It would seem that even Elsa's attempts to make Florida cool have failed.
