Soarin' Expansion and new Soarin' Around the World film

I really don't see them closing Soarin' for 6 months. They're rumored to be waiting until Avatar opens before closing Everest and the same logic would prevent them for closing Soarin' for that long.
It is closing in January for sure. No doubt about it. They have to connect the new restrooms with the rest of The Land pavilion, re-do the queue, make changes in the existing two theaters, connecting the third theater, etc. That will surely take more then four or five months.

We'll see, but, I still don't think so. They don't have to close the place to do that or re-do the queue and the theaters can be done one at a time leaving two open at all times. The configuration of the building makes it obvious that it is just going to enter straight ahead at the current end of the queue.

It's October it seems likely that they would have publicly scheduled that closure so future guests can plan for it. it's only 3 months away.

But I don't think Disney has to show their cards until we are at the 60 days mark away from January when people would start planning a fastpass for their trip.

Why the Magic Kingdom? That's not the park you're in. And yes, there will be park specific endings.

They fly over Disneyland in the DCA version even though that's not the park you are in. I wouldn't have a problem with the films ending with a fly by of the related castle park.

I was talking about the WDW version. I kinda found it strange to end it that way.
Well, to be fair, the original ended in Disneyland when the ride was located in DCA. So, what's the point and why wouldn't it be appropriate when Disneyland started it all? No matter what Disney park we are in leads to and has its roots that go back to Disneyland. It would be wonderful if people were to think in a little broader range and not so focused on things that don't matter.

The film is titled Soarin' over California, I don't see why you are confused. If it was Soarin' over Florida I would expect to see the WDW parks.

Personally I was disappointed when Soarin' opened that they just picked up the Disneyland movie. We're in WDW, why are we watching a movie about California that ends in DL? Then I was further disappointed that they kept that movie in place for YEARS as the quality degraded. So this new film is way, way overdue...

Wasn't it supposed to be a gift from DL as part of "The Happiest Celebration on Earth" (or whatever it was called), while DHS got LMA, DAK got Lucky, and MK got Cinerellabration?

Given their location and organization , that's pretty much a given. There was also not a park to fly over when the film was made.

I understood that you were talking about Walt Disney World. It still makes no sense because you're not at the Magic Kingdom.

It's Soarin' Over California is it not?

Sorry if that seems snarky... just don't understand how it's confusing.

To be fair, the attraction isn't called that in Florida. Out here, it's simply called Soarin'. Granted, all the scenery featured is in California, but there is nothing in our version that specifically indicates that. To somebody not versed in the attraction's history and unfamiliar with the scenery featured, the ending randomly showcasing Disneyland at Christmastime can be a little jarring.

Makes me wonder how they found their way to the park at all. Are people that easily confused? Really? I don't think so. It's just one of those little things that have no consequence, but are blown up to be a problem that doesn't really exist. If "Soarin over California" hadn't ever existed, they could show the same film and people wouldn't be able to find any fault with it.
