I'm not defending it, it's a big building and it's pretty hard to miss once you've seen it, but they at least tried to make this disappear into the sky. Meanwhile, Hogwarts just sort of ends and turns into a show building in plain site for guests.

Thank you - I found it in your post from March 5th. Looks like connecting the third theatre at the split point will be relatively easy. Can't imagine there will be much down time if any for that. Funny, I never realized that you walk around the entire theatres before entering.

So has it been confirmed if this is indeed the Jerry Rees project? Any insight?
The project was described as "Next-gen larger-than-life interactive spectacle." That doesn't sound like Soarin to me.

I agree, I was confused when people were confidently attributing it to Soarin'. I guess the waiting game on what it means continues.

I read on OTPN that soarin' will beclosed for 6 months beginning next year... is that confirmed? Seems like a very long time to close such a popular ride.
OTPN is pretty good about not just throwing out random rumors.

Wow. Seems like a long time for putting in a new movie and synching the ride. Most of that I would think would be pretty easy. Just upload the new commands to the computer controlling it all. What on earth would take a 6 month closure to complete?
They also need to do the digital conversion and re-configure the queues. Still don't think that should take 6 months.

Could they be refurbishing the structures to the rides as well? That could take time taking apart and putting together.
