Yes they wanted 30% more people in MK not just in NFL... it didn't have the desired effect than management was hoping for. Disney are still short of total capacity for World to get MM+ to run according to the simulations they produced initially.
My god, if they got anymore in that park it would be gridlock most of the year. Someone had a very big imagination and a limited knowledge of math and physics. Even at best, it is an area that people want to see when they go there, they don't fly in from all over the world just to see that. Again, someone with absolutely no grasp on how theme parks work. Even if Mermaid performed to its highest ability, it still wouldn't draw people in those numbers into the park that weren't going to be going there anyway. They don't even travel in just to see Harry which is much more impressive then anything in NFL. They want to see it when they are there. I think those projection experts need to stay away from the cocaine for a day or two.

People wouldnt be very happy if the majority would be original rides .... Especially now that Universal is growing in movie rides and immersive worlds of Harry Potter for example.

But the movie franchises are what the majority of people want. Do you know how much demand their is for Star Wars land? It would be stupid for Disney to leave that much money sitting on the table.

Take comfort with Shanghai Disneyland, Rivers of Light, and Soarin over the world that Disney will continue to create original offerings for the parks.

Not true at all except amongst people who dislike themed entertainment, who only want a branded experience and nothing new. That's a lot of Disney fans, but for decades Disney did just fine attracting people to theme parks with original concepts.

Soarin' Over the World was paid for by Shanghai Disney Resort and Soarin' is now a franchise.

Why did my thread about the new Soarin film get merged with this one? It's two separate news items. This topic was about them adding a third theater to Soarin. I think the new ride film deserves its own topic of discussion.

I heard similar numbers, and from blue sky concepts being tossed around, it looks like Disney is slowly accepting that the MK simply needs a couple more attractions—you know, the same conclusion fans have been insisting for a decade.

Remember, FLE simply replaced existing attractions. The upcoming SC in Adventureland is replacing an old restaurant. The MK had LOWER annual attendance when those old attractions and restaurants were shuttered, which means no true capacity has been added.

Reopen the Diamond Horseshoe with its original show, add an E ticket and two Ds, and the MK would be fairly complete.

Epcot, on the other hand, needs lots of love now. Maybe after DHS is fixed...

I know Disney did fine, but I'm saying that if they had done more original rides this time and left out Pixar or Star Wars etc. They would be unsatisfied. It is proved that since 2010 there is a higher demand for IP based rides.

What's the chance that Soarin over the World at DCA is a temp attraction for a year. It helps draw people away from DL and spread crowds. Creates buzz and then allows the buzz again with the return of original CA film. I'm fine with the CA film staying long term in DCA. Fits the theme and keeps WDW and DL unique.

As it is now the new film fixes the there issue at Epcot and creates one at DL

I am happy to have a park specific ending to the film and not see Christmas Main St all year
