So we're exactly 3 years away from WDW's 40th. When do they start prepping?

So, I just got back from the world, and after talking to a friend, who isn't very high up, but knows his stuff, this is some new info. Again I don't know if it is right, but this is what he told me.

-Space is happening. They still don't know when it is going to start, but it will happen soon.

-Apparently Jungle Cruise is eventually getting a major rehab, but my friend said it wouldn't be for a few years, and they are even throwing around the idea of extending the ride.

-Management is as bad as ever, and really isn't looking to throw money anywhere(but of course we already knew that)

What is the best way to get rid of current management? Should we write complaint letters to the higher ups or will we hjave to wait for massive attendence/spending drops?

I wish I knew. Hopefully after this financial crisis ends something will be done.

Let's just say it would take an incredibly long time, and a lot of money. He said it wasn't likely, just that they were throwing the idea around. I wouldn't expect it to happen. I would just expect a Mansion/Pirates type rehab.

I didn't think it would be feasible. A rehab would be welcomed though.

Okay, so basically what would be done is the boats would travel around the Swiss Family Tree House using the old Swan Boats path. Feasible? Definitely. Probable? Nope.

EDIT: While I want a rehab, I don't want the ride changed too much. It's classic the way it is, and adding scenes without lengthening the ride would be a nightmare for my fellow skippers and I. Oh and I forgot to mention something in my post. Country Bears apparently looks and sounds amazing. My friend said the rehab was looking great!

Correct. No Holiday this year, and I probably wouldn't expect it to come back.

Anything is possible. Expect a major rebuild of the JC before or around the 40th, but don`t expect much new or more river.

Infrastructure mainly. Most of what needed to be done for show quality was done earlier this year.

Has anyone else noticed the speaker quality is vastly improved? The queue music can be heard loud and clear from the Liki Tikis!

Edit:
The audio sounds better on Sunset Blvd. at the Studios, too.

It also took 3 years to build the whole of EPCOT Center, from ground clearing to opening

I wish that kind of effort and time table could be applied to construction projects & infrastructure alterations in the real world. These days it takes 3 years to do something relatively mundane such as expanding a few miles of interstate from 2 lanes to 4, each way.
(Interstate 66 in VA between Manassas and Gainsville, as an example)

Yea, you can hear it from almost all of Adventureland. What you are hearing are the speakers located on the second floor of the queue, which hadn't been working in about...oh 9 years.
